My wife and I separated when our twin girls were born and each of us took one of the babies. My daughter hasn’t met her mom and doesn’t know she is a twin. She’s now eleven years old and since she has grown up without her mom, I’ve been considering sending her to an all girls camp this summer for some more female influence. (And to be honest, I’m looking forward to some alone time with my new gf, who my daughter doesn’t know about yet). Am I terrible for sending her away? What could go wrong?!

Thanks, brain. I really needed to randomly envision what my best friend's corpse must look like after 3 years in the ground. That's really what I needed right now. Fuck.
@mentally_ill_gf@INEED2GOHOMENOW My mother did this with steaks in the oven when I was a kid! By the time she remembered, they had shrunk to the size (and were the color) of an Oreo. We called it Oreo steak and ate it anyway, and honestly it was delicious 😂😂
Watching Gary Oldman crack up at fart sounds dubbed into his own scenes and laughing until he’s in tears might just be the purest joy you’ll see all day.
Well, when a child is conceived, the DNA split is 50/50 from both parents. Except for one small detail: mitochondrial DNA. It’s passed down only through the mother and never through sperm.
Which means something interesting: all living humans can trace their mitochondrial line back to one woman, not one man.
And every daughter born continues passing that same line forward.
Happy Women’s Day 💐
