A new study, led by @RSPBScience, has found that increased use of pesticides and fertiliser is driving bird population declines across the UK and Europe 👉 https://t.co/6l20Wfr9Qv
It’s the latest evidence of the harm pesticides are having on our natural environment. 🧵 (1/8)

🚨 🚨 🚨 🚨 Let's make this viral - hedgehogs are dying of dehydration - please please share this post and offer some shallow bowls of water for wildlife (pop a few pebbles in to make sure insects that fall in can escape) 🦔 💧

We're losing wildlife - including bees, frogs, butterflies, hedgehogs, badgers, moths, bats, insects and birds. If you are lucky enough to have your own garden, or if you manage one in a public space, please make it wildlife-friendly 🐝
@ceeceeclaudia@womensart1 Jo Spence was a working class woman who, among other things, photographed her journey with breast cancer. To me she is saying that a class society harms working class people, literally making them sick.
Dear councils, Can you help give pollinators like bees and butterflies a chance? 97% of UK meadows are gone. So this year, please don't over-mow wildflowers on roadverges and in public spaces and don't spray them with weedkiller - let them grow instead 🐝
Please say no to poisonous slug pellets, pesticides and weedkillers. Hedgehogs hoover up over 100 invertebrates every night!

WE NEED YOU!!!
Many framers might have nettles growing in old farmyard manure near sheds or buildings.
We will happily transplant them for you and create cover for corncrakes.
Get in touch with us and please give a RT twitter 😀
@GlengarriffWood@HerpSocIreland I live in Mayo and there are still tadpoles in my pond. Some have back legs and some don't. Most of their siblings left in July/ August as froglets but there are a good few still tadpoles.
** EXTREMELY IMPORTANT** to report any sick or dead waterbirds or birds of prey to @agriculture_ie via the link below, as soon as you can, if you see any this weekend. More reports coming in from around the country unfortunately. Please share!

A dog crate can be an easy way to keep the larger birds off of the feeders, creating a safe space for the smaller birds. Placing some feeders close to the edge means species such as the woodpecker can still reach the food. It's working well at #YewView
A wildlife-friendly garden idea to help mini-beasts, amphibians, and pollinators like bees, hoverflies, moths and butterflies! A gabion wall full of reused materials which offer shelter, and that can be planted up with native wildflowers and nectar-rich shrubs. Pic via @seed_ball
