Lover of reading, recipes & roses with a weakness for alliteration. I binge on new experiences, haunt museums & return to beaches. Views expressed are my own.
As we've been spending more time with our pets recently, we'd like to introduce one of the pets in the Australian Performing Arts Collection. Nanna is a marionette puppet and beloved member of the Darling family, made for Pilgrim Puppet Theatre's season of Peter Pan in 1978.
@DrDreHistorian I really appreciated this article, especially having taken the Northern Explorer from Wellington to Auckland in November. Really well written and researched. I like the way you've dealt with the inconsistencies in the sources too.

It was an absolute delight to see the local community farewell @Alison_Wish from @BaysideNSW - not only an enormous bunch of blooms, but thoughtful words and real affection. Bravo, Alison!
Thanks to @Alison_Wish for this pic of me deep into the explanation of what might happen if the tail of a DC-8 sliced through the main wing tanks and high-pressure lines in a 727, causing 20 tons of fuel to spray into the rear-mounted JT8Ds. All good local history material! 😎
About to give my aviation accident presentation at Mascot Library so I thought I'd bring along a little of my ephemera collection to set the scene 🤗

If you're in Sydney on 11 May and want to hear about our narrowly avoided airliner disaster in 1971, come to Mascot Library for my presentation!

@drnaomi@jonkudelka I had the pleasure of writing the text for an exhibition of Ferdinand Bauer's work at @statelibrarynsw in 2017 called Botanical Inspirations. He was a genius. https://t.co/qej5ABVsQu
