Dear friends, family, supporters and well wishers, I am elated to bring to your notice that I, OLORUNJUWONLO AZEEZ will be Contesting for Councillor of ODOGUNYAN Ward E1, IKORODU NORTH, LAGOS STATE.
I doubt you would have been a medical doctor if your first 30 years was in the UK. You definitely won't have been able to afford it or would been indebted to the government of the UK to the tunes of over 70k pounds.
In your 30yrs in Nigeria, the government subsidized your education and made it easy for you to earn the capital with which you embark on your 6yrs journey in the UK. The 30yrs in 9ja gave you a solid foundation upon which your growth in the UK was built.
You should be smart enough to know this but social media validation trumps intelligence most times.
Fun fact
LENACAPAVIR is now available in Nigeria.
Yes, Lenacapavir which can protect against HIV is available in some states
Big thanks to the Nigerian government, and other stakeholders that subsidized it
A Drug that should cost around $28,000 per year (~40 million Naira) was subsidized to around $40 ( 58,000)
The world is saying NO to Electronic voting systems because of how easy it is to hack the algorithm. Meanwhile, Jobless political jobbers are in Abuja protesting to have an electronic system that is proven to encourage rigging.
Foolish people!
No billboard, no investment summit, no tourism campaign can compete with what people see with their own eyes the moment they land. A dirty airport road tells visitors wrongly that Lagos is chaotic, unserious, and careless with its environment.
The painful part is that this problem is AVOIDABLE. Airport Road should be one of the most protected, most maintained corridors in the state. Illegal dumping should be impossible there. Waste management should be airtight. Monitoring should be constant.
If we want to be taken seriously on the global stage, then the basics must be respected.
You don’t welcome guests through a dirty front door.
The question is simple: If we cannot keep the road that welcomes the world into Lagos clean, what message are we truly sending about who we are?
Keep Lagos State Clean
#environment #cleancity
Videos like these should be shared across all platforms in the Northern part of Nigeria as a means of reorientation on the Almajiri system.

LAGOS IN PROPER CONTEXT
1. YORUBAS DON'T CLAIM LAGOS
No true Yoruba blood claims another land - Lagos or Abuja. No, we don’t.
I was born, bred, and blossomed in Lagos State for almost all my life, yet I do not claim Lagos, despite being 100% Yoruba on the four angles of identity. No tainted blood, no crossbreeding, no partial ancestry - pure Yoruba. We are rivers, we do not deny our source, no matter how far we travel. We are always adequately proud of our ancestry, our origin.
2. OTHER YORUBAS OWN LAGOS TOO
That said, Lagos stretches from the Sango axis to Badagry, to Ikorodu and beyond. Within this vast embrace lie native settlements that are indigenous to other Yoruba identities. The Ijebus, for instance, who are native to Ikorodu, Epe, parts of Ibeju-Lekki, are the same Ijebus found in Ogun State - same blood, same genes.
The Aworis, among the earliest settlers, migrated from Ile-Ife with deep-rooted affiliations to parts of Ogun and Western Ondo - particularly around Okitipupa and the coastal belts.
So yes, it is natural that other Yorubas with historical ties to Lagos may, in passing, mention their affinity with the state. Yet no true Yoruba abandons his cradle to claim another man’s mat - not Lagos, not any other state. It matters not whether he was born there or whether his father relocated there with his placenta clutched in hand.
3. WE WILL DEFEND LAGOS AS ONE
While it is firmly established that Yorubas who are not from Lagos do not claim it, we will all rise as one to defend it - or any other Yoruba state for that matter - from intruders, expansionist crusaders, usurpers, and trespassers, whether in Lagos or in Ekiti. For when the roof of one house is on fire, the entire compound feels the heat.
4. LAGOS IS YORUBA - YORUBA IS LAGOS
Finally, you may be a Yoruba man without being a Lagosian, but to be a Lagosian, you must first be a Yoruba man - PERIOD.
Good Morning Severally...
-Y'all criticize Sanwo-Olu over the EndSARS massacre but make excuses for Peter Obi concerning the Akwuzu SARS gruesome k'llings.
-You condemn Gumi for being a bandit advocate, yet, justified Obi being his friend or associate.
-Atiku is deemed morally corrupt, today Obi has turned political besties with him in the name of coalition.
-Wike is desperate for betraying the PDP, however Obi is a strategist for always decamping for self-interest.
-Obi is fighting for Nigerians, and same Obi supported Emefiele's cashless policy that was suffering Nigerians, backed the fuel subsidy removal, and selects what he speaks on.
-It's performative when other politicians advertise their eyeservice donations, however, Obi is genuine despite moving around with cameras.
-Obi is so accountable, and till date there's no clarity on the LP campaign donations.
-He cares about the health sector, and during his governship tenure there was a "13-month strike by government-employed doctors", and Anambra South had no public hospital until Soludo's administration built one.
-He wants to move the nation from consumption to production, and his most notable achievement in this field is partnering with the state govt to open a beer company as a sitting governor.
-Till date no clarity on the "religious war" alleged phonecall with Oyedepo, or clarity on the Deji accusations.
-He was heavily criticized from 2006 to 2013, now he's the next best thing to a messiah.
Nigerians!
We are very keen to invest in Nigeria. But I'll say this hasn't always been the case. Your leadership has created an investment climate over the last few years that has propelled Shell to invest in Nigeria.
- Shell GCEO, Wael Sawan, tells President Tinubu as he announces plans to invest a fresh $20 billion in Bonga South West oil project, after investing $7 billion in Bonga North in the past 13 months
Chin Up, Egungun…
When I first saw the Egungun “you looked strong and healthy” interview with Speed, I laughed out loud. It reminded me of my very first outing as a public speaker at a seminar. I was so bad that the seminar organizer had to come on stage to physically tell me to come down. Lol.
I understood immediately. This was his biggest interview ever, and he shat the bed. I told myself he would learn from it and improve.
Over the next few days, I started seeing a lot of negative and insulting posts about Egungun. The insults were caustic and personal, enough to make even tough guys depressed.
I believe Egungun won’t fall for this madness and will pick himself up and keep trudging on.
I’ve watched Egungun move from “displaying madness” in masquerade costumes to unveiling himself and morphing into an interviewer in a very specific niche. I trust him to keep believing in himself.
There’s nothing wrong with shatting the bed sometimes. How you respond is what really matters.
