RenewableUK’s Chief Executive Dan McGrail (@RenewableUKCEO) responds to today’s announcement by the Chancellor @RachelReevesMP that the Government will reform the National Planning Policy Framework before the end of this month to end the de facto ban on onshore wind in England:

Rosebank oilfield go-ahead decision makes achieving net-zero much harder, warns UNISON

"This is yet another setback in the battle against climate change. It confirms the government‘s total lack of commitment to achieving net-zero," UNISON general secretary Christina McAnea @cmcanea

"There is no guarantee the new oil will benefit the country. It’ll still need to be sold on the international market, not only to UK consumers.
