In case weโve forgotten, retired soldiers created a WhatsApp group and conducted a fundraising campaign to pay ransom to bandits for their colleague, Retired Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga, before it was later reported that he had been rescued by the NSA. Do you understand the level of deterioration a Country must reach for former military officers to contribute money to secure the release of a Brigadier General?
I am honoured to succeed Senator Udoma as Chairman in January 2027 and to lead the Board through @SeplatEnergy โs next phase of growth.
I firmly believe in the critical role indigenous resources play in the economic transformation of Nigeria and Africa, and Seplatโs culture of execution and governance aligns strongly with my own values.
I thank Senator Udoma and Roger for their stewardship and look forward to delivering further value for shareholders.
I also congratulate Mr. Okon on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer.
His deep industry experience gives me great confidence that @SeplatEnergy is well positioned for its next chapter of growth.

@Drwhales_ Even the "basics" aren't the same across regions. I think the best thing is we should have regional governments with regional development plans. That'll give rise to a close & healthy competition among the regional governments.
If we are to start this conversation, then, even in the south, you have divisions. For instance, using this same analogy, the South east and south west are completely different entities. So it goes that way. Even in some States, you have people with different cultures and values.
This is the third virtual meeting I'm having today and one thing is common. In each of the meetings participants kept complaining of bad network.
I don't want to believe that our internet infrastructure is this bad ๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ
Dangote is a force to reckon with. His leadership and management acumen is visible from his business strides. It takes top tier leadership and management guts to champion those initiatives.
Today, I visited the Dangote refinery for the first time.
Well, what can I say... because im speechless after seeing what I saw.
Alh. Aliko is evidence that Nigeria can & will work.
God bless Alh. Aliko Dangote and may God give us many more Alikos in Nigeria.

I'm really impressed. She doesn't need to say anything. Nemo dat quad non habet.
Truly, the effect of incentives in academic excellence is underrated.
Refusing to exercise your civic right by parking in democratic activities isn't just a sign that you have accepted the status quo, but a clear endorsement of what we are having wrapped in the name of (mis)governance.

What I always emphasize is this: leaders in Arewa must focus on projects that open up our economic corridors as a region. The economic prosperity of our region must come first. It should be the central priority for anyone privileged to serve in any capacity.
We need to become more deliberate. We need to sit at a round table, critically examine our regionโs economic leverage from every angle, and draft a practical plan for how to maximize it. That plan must clearly define our short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals as a region.
We need have what I called an This plan should be legislated across all Northern states, with slight variations to reflect the uniqueness, resources, and realities of each state. Every policy, whether at the federal or state level, should serve as a catalyst toward achieving the IRDPA. No Governor should be allowed to drift away from that strategic direction, and our leaders at the highest levels must ensure that the interests of Arewa and the IRDPA are protected, regardless of who is president or where he comes from.
Our situation in Arewa demands visionary leadership, not just political maneuverability and prowess. We must seriously rethink and scrutinize our leadership selection process. A ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐น (๐ฅ๐๐๐) made up of people of proven integrity, competence, and genuine regional commitment should be established, and every aspiring leader in Arewa should pass through its scrutiny before emerging into positions of authority. Leadership at all levels from Councilorship to president must be scrutinized by the council.
We have to be intentional about the development of our region. Nobody will do it for us except ourselves, and we should not expect people from other regions to prioritize our prosperity for us. The current reality has shown enough evidence of that. And honestly, I donโt blame anyone. Na we dey do ourselves.
If we get this right, then sit back and watch what Arewa will become in the next 30 years.
Arewa will be great again InshaAllah
