Your region has been burning of insecurity. Poverty & employment isn't a news because you're yourself unemployed. There was a time you yourself speak against the failures of the govt & vowed to stand against it not because of anything but because it has failed to attend to all our pressing needs!

Then boom! You were called to the table. Then you were handled some stipends or promises. Suddenly, your eyes closed. You are now OK with the thousands of lives lost daily. With the continuous hardship that yourself is a witness. With the flawed policies that haven't resolved any of our problems.

Our prayers to you is simple: May Allãh SubhanaHu wata'ala handle your affairs the way they have been handling the affairs of the nation. 🤲

It’s funny how we use Surah Al-‘Asr to shorten our prayers, when the surah itself reminds us about people wasting their time.

Italian efficiency when it comes to coffee should be studied.

In Italy:
- Walk into a bar and look at the guy
- Un caffe
- 30 seconds later it’s ready
- Shoot it
- Leave €1
- Walk out

In the US:
- Join a line
- Wait
- Order coffee
- Answer 12 questions: Size? Milk? Roast? Sugar? Temperature? Colombia beans? Name? How do you spell it?
- $12.34
- Ask for a 20% tip. Click 5 times on a ipad to have a custom tip
- Tap phone
- ask where to send the invoice
- Wait again on a different line
- Someone call a name that sounds similar to mine
- get the coffee
- too hot, can't drink it
- finally at temperature

taste like shit

The last 11 years have been the hottest years ever recorded. Earth’s energy imbalance has reached its highest than at any time in observed history, with heat reaching deeper into the ocean.

Yesterday, a friend from Warri shared with me a touching story about his six-year-old daughter.

For some time, she had been asking him for something she really wanted. He had already planned to buy it for her, but his intention was to wait until June when he would be travelling abroad.

Yesterday, as he walked past her room, he overheard her praying aloud after her Salat:
“𝑶𝒉 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒉, 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒚 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒖𝒚 𝒊𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒆.”

He said the moment gave him chills. Without hesitation, he decided that he would buy it the very next day.

True to his word, he bought it and handed it over to her yesterday. To his great surprise, she immediately exclaimed, “Alhamdulillah! Allah has answered my prayers.”

She later told her mother that since the beginning of Ramadan, even though she does not fast yet, she makes that same dua after every Salat.

Moments like this remind us of the purity of a child’s faith and the sincerity of their connection with Allah.

PRAYER TIMES NIGERIA ( PRAYER TIMES APP) BY SIMWAL JIBRIL

We are proud to announce the launch of Nigeria’s first indigenous prayer app based on the Maliki school of thought — built specifically for Muslims across the country.

Designed with precision and authenticity, this app provides accurate prayer times for all the 774 Local Government Areas in Nigeria, calculated according to the Maliki fiqh. Whether you are in Abuja, Lagos, Kano, Port Harcourt, or any remote town, you can rely on correct timings tailored to your exact location.

Even without internet access, the app continues to function seamlessly with its offline prayer time calculation feature, ensuring you never miss your salah wherever you are. With smart location detection, it automatically identifies your position and delivers precise prayer times instantly.

Importantly, the Hijri date in the app is not fixed. It is designed to be adjustable to align with the officially declared date following the sighting of the new crescent and the announcement of the Sultan, ensuring conformity with recognized religious authority in Nigeria.

This milestone would not have been possible without the expertise and dedication of Orygin Solutions @oryginOS , who partnered in developing and bringing this vision to life. Their technical excellence and commitment to innovation helped make this app a reality.

This is more than just a prayer time app — it is a locally built solution for Nigerian Muslims, rooted in our jurisprudential tradition and powered by reliable technology.
