Today @AGRA_Africa and @MastercardFdn
visited #YEFFA beneficiary Mushimiyimana Peline in Nyagatare District. Through YEFFA, implemented by @YEAN_Agro , she grows passion fruits, carrots, cabbages, and greenhouse tomatoes, showcasing the impact of youth-led agribusiness.
What a day!
On the second day of the 6th Eastern Africa Farmers Congress & Convention 2025 by @EAFFinfo , we were thrilled to host the incredible Dr. @Agnes_Kalibata , former President of @AGRA_Africa , at our booth.
She was instrumental in establishing the #YEFFA program, which YEAN and other partners implement to empower young agripreneurs in Africa.
Her leadership has truly paved the way for this impactful work.

Today, in partnership with @BPNRwanda , YEAN is facilitating a two-day technical training on Quality & Safety Standards in Agriculture for the "Grow to Scale" project.
Since 2022, YEAN leverages its AIRTEA-funded Agribusiness Incubation and Innovation Hub (AIIH) to collaborate with partners for essential technical skills in agri-food systems.

“I am deeply honored to receive the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters. I accept this honor with keen awareness of the responsibility with which it comes; reflecting on the shared commitment that brings us together today: the belief that health is a fundamental human right, and that equity must remain at the center of how we educate, how we serve, and how we lead.”

Being an agripreneur isn’t just about farming, it’s about hustling smart.
With the right knowledge and skills, farmers can turn ideas into big agribusinesses. We’ve seen it happen.
That’s why we created an agribusiness incubation space to help agripreneurs survive (and thrive) through the hard first steps of starting a business.
Through the AIRTEA Project, the Agribusiness Innovation & Incubation Hub (AIIH) was born 🚀
Got an idea? A dream? A farm hustle loading? We’re here to walk the journey with you from “what if” to “we made it.”
Welcome to AIIH. Welcome to the grind. Welcome y’all 😎🌾🔥
We were proud to support the launch of the #EvalYouth#Rwanda chapter with @EvalRwanda — a key step in strengthening evidence-based decision making and empowering young evaluators.
The future of M&E is in good hands!

We've kicked off a three-day (May 18-20, 2025) workshop at @unilak_rwanda for 94 youth extensionists from the @RwandaEast Province consortium project of YEFFA program. The team will plan and review targeted technical interventions to reach young farmers during Season C 2025 and Season A 2026.
This is part of our ongoing efforts to engagement of youth in providing private agriculture extension services.
