Catch highlights 👇👇from 17.06.2026, a historic day in the preservation of the history of the 1994 #GenocideAgainstTutsi. On this day, two #Kwibuka Monuments were unveiled in Ghana; to honour the over 1million victims and to recognize the Ghanaian Contingent that stayed to save.
An invented "Genocide of the Hutu"
This is a futile effort to belittle and revise the Genocide against the Tutsi, and to downplay the culpability of génocidaires and Hutu Power extremists.
The cabal behind this campaign relies on a single strategy: tu quoque "you did it too." It is a simple but well-worn method of denial. In essence: before your enemy can accuse you truthfully, you accuse them falsely of the same crime.
In this case, génocidaires, genocide ideologues, and revisionists allege that the RPF-Inkotanyi bore equal responsibility for "a genocide against the Hutu." The implication follows that if both sides suffered, both are to blame, and the crimes cancel each other out.
This strategy that equates the deliberate, planned genocide of the Tutsi with an invented "genocide of the Hutu"; is simply contemptible.
It is an act that denies the Genocide against the Tutsi and downplays the complicity of those who carried it out.
It is an act that dehumanizes survivors and victims alike, and that weakens society's ability to recognize the discourse and warning signs that can precede new atrocities.
When Françoise Niyigena was awarded by @Imbuto Foundation in 2012 after ranking second nationwide, it became a turning point for her entire family.
Years later, she still speaks with gratitude about that moment and the opportunities it opened for her.
Her story is one of many that show the impact of the work championed by First Lady, Mrs. Jeannette Kagame. Through Imbuto Foundation, countless young people, especially girls, have been encouraged to dream bigger, work harder, and believe in their potential.
In a country that continues to invest in its youth, empowering girls is not simply about education or awards; it is about giving them the confidence to see themselves as leaders, innovators, and agents of change.
Thank you, @FirstLadyRwanda, for believing in Rwanda's young people and for creating opportunities that continue to transform lives.
The success of many young women today is a reflection of seeds that were planted years ago through your vision and commitment.
All attempts to distort facts, deny and belittle the genocide against the Tutsi will hit a dead end.
@JudiRever's push for the "double genocide" is sponsored by genocide perpetrators who have evaded justice and now turn to media campaign to whitewash their criminal record.
@Griffith_Uni's reckless decision to offer a platform to a genocide denier puts its credibility under scrutiny!
@JudiRever Judi, a lecture hall is not a courtroom, and applause is not evidence. No amount of touring will rewrite the fact that the RPF stopped the Genocide against the Tutsi while the world watched. History is stronger than your narrative.

“When you see someone give himself so fully that he is even ready to lose his life, then serving the country at the level we have reached today, compared to that kind of sacrifice, should really not be too much for us.” President Kagame | Swearing-in Ceremony of New Government Officials.
“A single market works best, when rules and standards are predictable and consistent across jurisdictions. The institutions mandated to lead this work already exist, and they deserve our support. The same principle applies to visa policies.
In Rwanda, we removed this particular barrier because we wanted people to visit, connect and discover opportunities. And as we know, it is just the right thing to do. We saw stronger business activity, increased tourism, and expanded air links.
Experience, therefore, shows us that openness and cooperation are powerful drivers of development. No single region has unlocked its potential, while remaining fragmented. Air connectivity opens immense opportunities and possibilities.” President Kagame | African Air Transport Convention & Expo 2026
