🗣️ Carlos Tevez: “When I arrived in England, they took me to see the house the club was offering me. It had a garden, a garage, shiny floors... and silence.
A lot of silence. I came from Fuerte Apache, where five of us slept in one room and gunshots were part of the night. I didn’t know how to live in tranquility. It scared me.
After a while, I asked to move. I went to a poorer, noisier neighbourhood, where the neighbours shouted, cooked on the sidewalk, and kids played in the street.
That’s where I felt at home. Not all of us dream of the same things. Some of us dream of going back to what we are.”
Egyptian footballer Mostafa Zico broke down in an emotional television interview as he reflected on the painful journey behind his success.
After losing his father in 2011, he and his siblings were left to battle extreme hardship. There were days when the family had no food, debts kept growing and he worked long hours simply to survive. At one point, he had no home and spent his nights sleeping on the streets. Before dawn, he would wake up, go to a nearby mosque to take ablution, offer his prayers and head straight to football training holding tightly to a dream that seemed almost impossible.
Despite poverty and countless setbacks, he refused to give up. Through unwavering determination and trust in Allah, he eventually earned a place with ZED FC and represented Egypt on the international stage, scoring crucial goals and fulfilling the dream he had fought so hard to reach.
Speaking through tears, Zico said, "All praise is due to Allah. He has blessed me with far more than I ever imagined."
He also paid tribute to his wife, describing her as the person who stood beside him long before success arrived. She remained loyal through years of hardship, unemployment and financial struggle. He recalled how, during the early days of their marriage, he could not even afford a small birthday gift for her. Filled with regret, he called to apologize and that painful memory still brings tears to his eyes.
His story is a powerful reminder that true success is not measured by fame or wealth but by patience, perseverance, faith in Allah, and the people who remain by your side when you have nothing. Difficult times never last forever. With trust in Allah and sincere effort, even someone who once slept on a sidewalk can rise to heights beyond imagination.
When you look at your life, you ACTUALLY see how kind Allah has been to you. So many du'as were answered without you even realizing it. So much protection was given when you didn't even know you needed it. So many situations could have turned out badly, but they didn't... only because of Allah's mercy.
"I Scored a Grade 9 in English but a Distinction in Mathematics" — Prof. Amb. Bitange Ndemo's Powerful Lesson
"In my O-Level exams, I failed English—and not just failed, I scored a Grade 9. Back then, a Grade 9 was almost as if people would ask, 'Did you even go to school?'
Ironically, I earned a distinction in Mathematics. The question I always ask is: I used English to understand and answer the Mathematics exam, so why did I fail English? If my English was truly that poor, then how did I excel in Mathematics?
That experience taught me an important lesson: one exam result does not define your intelligence or your potential."
— Prof. Amb. @bantigito Ndemo, reflecting on his O-Level education and the lessons he learned from it.
A mother’s words spoken in anger.. that turned into one of the greatest prayers in history.
This is the story of a small home not far from Madinah, where a young child was playing in the soil outside. Inside, guests were expected, and his mother had worked hard preparing food for them. While she was busy washing dishes in the kitchen, the mischievous child innocently picked up dirt and placed it into the meal that had been carefully prepared for the guests.
When the mother returned and saw what had happened, tears filled her eyes. Overwhelmed with exhaustion, frustration, and emotion, she turned toward her child in anger. Her hands rose in the air on the verge of words that might have been harsh.
But she was a righteous and believing woman.
Through tears and a trembling voice, she said to her son: "Go… may Allah take care of you. May He make you an Imam of the Ka'bah."
SubhanAllah, words spoken in a moment of anger, yet carried by sincerity, rose to a place of acceptance with Allah.
That playful child, it is said, grew up to become one of the most beloved voices in the Muslim world Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, the Imam of Masjid al-Haram. Today, his recitation moves millions of hearts during Hajj and beyond.
He himself has reflected that whatever he became in life, it was due to his mother’s heartfelt words and that moment of prayer.
A powerful reminder for all mothers: even in moments of anger, let your words be filled with goodness. You never know which supplication may be accepted and change a life forever.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“There are three whose prayer will not rise even a hand span over their heads:
1. An Imam who leads people in prayer whom they hate,
2. a wife who spends the night while her husband is displeased with her,
3. two brothers who have severed their relationship.”
When Kenyans are made Ministers, PSes, State Corporations CEOs & Chairmen or when MPs or tenderpreneurs have the President’s number, they think they are gods! They become arrogant, rude & condescending. Many start riding in long convoys with armed security.
What they always forget is that POWER IS TEMPORARY, TRANSIENT & ONLY FOR A SEASON.
Then it ends like morning dew. The Convoy ends. The Security stops. Phone calls stop. The false friends who were with you for the power disappear.
And madness sets in.

Today, I took my children, Imad and Adam, along with my sister’s children—Elaine, Maher, and Ahmed—to the sea in Gaza. 🌊❤️
For a few hours, we forgot the heat inside the tent. We forgot the sounds of war and let the children laugh the way every child deserves to laugh.
I swam with them, looked at their smiling faces, and prayed that one day they would have a normal childhood—without fear, displacement, or war.
We may not be able to change our reality today, but we are trying to create beautiful memories for our children in the midst of all this pain.
These small moments are what give us the strength to keep going. 💙🍉

When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ left this world, Bilal (RA) left Madinah and went to Sham because he couldn’t live in Madinah without seeing Rasūlullāh. One night, he saw the Beloved in his dream who said, « Bilal you haven’t visited us in so long! » He got up and tirelessly rode until he got to Madinah.
When he made the adhan on that day after many years, Madinah shook and every man and woman wept in remembrance of the Habib😭😭😭
When he reached, ‘Ashahadu ana Muhammad…’ he fell on the floor in tears because he couldn’t bear to make the adhan without seeing Rasūlullāh ﷺ. When Bilal (RA) was on his deathbed, he said, ‘What a day of happiness! Tomorrow I will meet Muhammad ﷺ and his Companions.’ May Allāh grant us a drop from the ocean of his love of Rasulallah ﷺ
