getting to animate one of my favorite characters of all time was definitely dream come true! watching it get passed along at every stage, everyone's work blew me away. Im also SO grateful to our character layout artists, Thankyou <3
I keep digging into this style, trying to combine these elements:
• Fat felt-tip pen brush strokes
• 3D cel shading
• 2D texture painting
there's still an issue with her arm, but I'm getting closer and closer to exactly what I want
Today is my last day at UNSEEN after almost five incredible years.
I’m grateful that my first experience as an Animation Director was here, working alongside such a talented team. Working from Barcelona and spending time in Tokyo gave me memories and adventures I’ll never forget.
I’ll leave as a better animator, leader, and person.
Now it’s time for a new adventure. ❤️
If I could inherit only one skill from only one director in all of history, I'd choose Spielberg's blocking & staging. Not only are these shots full of graceful spatial genius, but the storytelling rhythm of these flowing compositions are perfect as well. One of one.
Oh yeah for those wondering, the Locke and Vaybe cinematic was animated by WIZZ and crcr. crcr has worked with Riot in the past on Soul Fighter and VCT cinematics.
