The Power of Adding Value at Source.
I am delighted to have joined Team #UgandaCoffee at the ongoing #WOCBrussels2026 in Belgium.
For many years, Uganda has showcased primarily green coffee beans at international exhibitions. Today, that story is changing.
For the very first time, Uganda is showcasing some of its finest value-added coffee products from @AfriCoffeePark on the world's biggest coffee platform. This is a significant milestone for our coffee sector and a testament to the progress we are making as a country.
On this note, I am pleased to announce that through @AfriCoffeePark, Uganda will host the inaugural Africa Coffee Festival (@AfriCoffeeFest) in February 2027.
The festival will bring together leading coffee industry players from across the world, positioning Uganda as a premier coffee destination. More importantly, it will create greater opportunities for our farmers, increase market access, and enhance value addition across the coffee value chain.
As H.E. @KagutaMuseveni rightly said: - "Income generation is meaningless if our raw materials continue leaving Uganda only to return as expensive finished goods. We must process what we grow and build what we use."
Guided by this vision, Uganda's coffee industry has experienced tremendous growth, and the ultimate beneficiary must always be the farmer.
I would like to sincerely thank our incredible team on the ground for passionately championing the Uganda Coffee story and showcasing the quality, innovation, and potential of our coffee sector to the world.
