“Land you have to kill for is not yours. Land you have to die for is.”
The quote aptly describes the situation in Gaza. I write on the potential homelessness and loss of identity Palestinians face with Trump's Gaza reconstruction plans.

I recently read that there are almost 5,000 euphemisms for periods. Instead of saying, "I'm on my #period," we've come up with several ways to say it indirectly.
What's your favourite euphemism? Mine is: 'I can't go into the kitchen.' I think most Indians would relate to this.
This #MenstrualHygieneDay, let's pledge to creating a #PeriodFriendlyWorld, wherein everyone menstruating has equitable access to menstrual products and can deal with menstruation safely and hygienically.
Hermione Grainger remarks, “It means the Ministry is interfering at Hogwarts.”
Drawing parallels b/w #HarryPotter & #India’s educational system, I explore how higher education has become a political football & means to exercise soft power.

After 12 yrs of driving in Delhi, I swear I could write an ethnography just on male driver reactions to female drivers.
At 18, I was driving a Zen sometimes a 3rd hand santro, in shorts or halternecks and strapless dresses. Got the worst vulgar looks & hand gestures, esp. from SUV bros (Audi boys = the worst).
Now, driving an SUV in a saree? I confuse them. Highway drivers are quite confused , ki areee aurat kitchen se itni dur??????. Multiple men cross me deliberately to peek inside. Last week, left a cousin’s wedding at 4 AM, stuffed myself + giant puffy dress (one of those doll dresses that are bigger than the tent) into the driver’s seat—uncle types were bamboozled.
Yes, I struggle to park sometimes. But so do many men. Yet god forbid I take 2+ min—suddenly 5 random men appear offering “help.”
Funniest part? No stares when I’m all dressed up as the passenger princess with my husband. Or sipping coffee in the backseat. That’s okay for a woman I guess.
Since we're still not over the Studio Ghibli trend, I write about how AI-backed trends are making art disposable and limiting our creativity and possibilities to machines.

Saw an uncle carelessly throwing trash on the floor despite the housekeeping staff making several rounds & efforts to keep the stadium clean. He considered his seat as his seat, & his neighbour's seat (me) as partially his.
When will we get rid of such entitlement?

"Perhaps our salvation lies in not being saved," said Fatma Hassona to the Palestinian poet Haidar al-Ghazali.
Hassona, a photojournalist in Gaza, was killed in a targeted Israeli airstrike last week, along with ten of her family members.

The image of Mahmoud Ajjour (9) injured in an Israeli attack on Gaza in March 2024, taken by Doha-based Palestinian photographer Samar Abu Elouf for New York Times has been nominated as the Photo Of The Year 2025.
It is such an irony - the best shows the worst of humanity.
At an exhibition in Amsterdam, a long poster lists the names of Palestinian journalists killed in Gaza. Standing before it is heartbreaking. Every loss hurts deeply. May God have mercy on them, heal the wounded, and spare us further grief.
In her article, Yamini Nair delved into the anxiety & complexities women face while driving on Indian roads. The article reminded me of the conversation I had with my partner.
Reflecting on this, I write about women behind the wheel.

You’ve so beautifully portrayed the journeys of these two stunning artists. I love the parallels you’ve drawn. I can’t wait to see Ahad carving out his journey and his big Bollywood debut.

Such a paradoxical weather in Rajasthan - thunderstorms following a scorching afternoon. I can already imagine long queues at the doctor's because of this hot-cool weather.
As Coco Chanel said, fashion is omnipresent. It's a tool to self-express, oppress, and much more. However, we take a different approach - we explore how fashion has been used to resist and revolt in the Indian subcontinent.
