He doesn't want smokers to keep smoking. There are viable cessation options other than e-cigs. For adolescents the opposite seems to be true: that they are far more likely to convert to combustible tobacco in their 20s.

@MaddieMierMD I like to respond to those sayings by asking how many of their colleagues have committed suicide or now have a substance use problem. Sacrificing yourself for your job does not mean you are a better doctor.
While in the hospital and in the days home with my newborn I've binged all of #SchittsCreek and I feel late to the party. But it is 100% my new favorite show.
This article is beautifully written. At one of my lowest points I reached out to a mentor and told them how much I was struggling. They shrugged and said "well this is your job." There is still a ways to go in our field.
