@PatientGenXer@fdlgator@MattWallace888@grok All 3 are different in the end zone too. A punt is dead the second it touches the endzone, and a kickoff touchback is different than a defensive touchback. The situations aren’t even close to being analogous.
@imakegoodtakes2@fdlgator@MattWallace888@grok Offense recovering ball in endzone is a safety. Ball going out of bounds in the endzone results in a safety. Going out of bounds in the endzone is literally the exact same thing as the offense recovering it there. This isn’t that complicated lmao
@imakegoodtakes2@fdlgator@MattWallace888@grok If the defense gained possession in the endzone it’s a td. The offense retaining possession in the endzone results in a safety. That’s literally what a safety is.
@imakegoodtakes2@fdlgator@MattWallace888@grok If it goes out of bounds the offense retains possession at spot of the fumble or the spot it went out, which ever is worse. If it goes out of your own endzone then the offense retains possession down in their endzone, which results in a safety
@imakegoodtakes2@fdlgator@MattWallace888@grok Calling someone dumb while having a fundamental misunderstanding of the rule yourself is actually funny. The safety is actually consistent with the rule for the rest of the field.
@iamericwhite@MrGrumpyOldMan1@fdlgator@MattWallace888@grok I think they should make all forward fumbles return to the spot it was lost if the offense recovers. That would combat this and other situations where the offense is rewarded for fumbling.
@ferris1010@RickRollup@sfaizi27@PoconoLion@BenjaminSolak Not really. Your % of plays isn’t meaningful at all when most plays aren’t explicitly trying to only get 20-30 yards. Additionally the fact that you think 4 kicks is a statistically significant sample size is laughable
