@CanaryBear45@52_65_64@mustyoshi@kycklinggull1@BasedBattleroid@Lord_Beesus That, the fact that hotels/rental cars charge far less for credit deposits combined with the extra layer of security you get for identity theft, as long as you pay it off monthly, there’s no real argument against credit cards vs debit. It’s those who don’t where it’s dangerous
@CanaryBear45@52_65_64@mustyoshi@kycklinggull1@BasedBattleroid@Lord_Beesus Have a credit card that we use for about $1K a month of day to day expenses (gas, grocery store, dinner out etc), depending on exact rewards that month we probably get $25-50 minimum applied directly to our balance every month, that’s not nothing
@SCGOPGUY@mylife86867431@chrisorzy Throughout most of human history it’s been accepted that the ruling government effectively owns all the land inside its border and if you want to work/live or own a small piece of that land, you’re going to help support the government financially in order to do that
@SCGOPGUY@mylife86867431@chrisorzy However I’m not sure this is true. Both ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt collected livestock and grain taxes. Greece had a wealth tax. Medieval england kings were constantly assessing land values for property taxes
@mylife86867431@SCGOPGUY@chrisorzy You posted a pic of a CEO (not a government employee), in a state I don’t even live in and tell me that I’m an uninformed? Please just stfu I promise you not even your family cares about your incoherent political ramblings
@SCGOPGUY@mylife86867431@chrisorzy I mean every state throughout history has required its citizens to pay taxes so it’s hard to deny that we’ve all accepted that it does have a right to collect a portion of our paychecks etc. Certainly no one is successfully legally challenging the government’s right to tax us
@SCGOPGUY@mylife86867431@chrisorzy You’re totally correct. No PERSON has a right to it. However, state does have rights to a certain part of it. How the state uses that $ should always be subject to intense scrutiny and voting. What shouldn’t be up for debate is who is allowed to be involved in the debate
@MapotherThimas@coversah@thatjustindean The real problem is that we won’t get social security despite current taxes. Cutting any current taxes will only cause long term economic pain. First step towards solution is maintaining current taxes for a generation or so and still making cuts/decisions you’re talking about
@mylife86867431@SCGOPGUY@chrisorzy You have nothing, just 50 year old memes that are unrelated to the argument. Stfu or make an argument. If you’re such a slave, you must be used to doing as your told
@mylife86867431@SCGOPGUY@chrisorzy But if keeping at least 66% of your money and getting extraordinary benefits in the richest country in the history of the world makes you a slave, then I guess you don’t understand how bad actual slaves had it
@mylife86867431@SCGOPGUY@chrisorzy lol you really think you got something with the slave point huh? Can’t speak like a thoughtful person arguing a point so you repeat the same awful joke? Just a wild take that asking people to pay taxes is equivalent to a slave owner
@mylife86867431@SCGOPGUY@chrisorzy A guy paying taxes thinking he’s a slave is the softest shit of all time. Get tougher bro you’re going to be paying them until you die, despite all your efforts to amend the constitution
@mylife86867431@SCGOPGUY@chrisorzy You can’t lose your right to anything you dumbass and certainly not for a political position. that’s the whole point. I promise you I wish people like you didn’t vote but if my side loses I’m not trying to take away your right to do it. Just blatant fascism
@mylife86867431@SCGOPGUY@chrisorzy Ahh yes the slave owners- famous for their mindset of ensuring lower class people get to keep their right to vote. What a liberator you are
@mylife86867431@SCGOPGUY@chrisorzy Buddy you need 38/50 states to agree to ratify an amendment are you high? Neither major party has even sniffed this as a platform so even if it became main stream over the next 50 years, you’re not getting 75% support for shit
