في كل صباح، كنتُ أصل إلى ملعب التدريب، وكان مايكل جالسًا ببساطة نائمًا في سيارته. فأسأله: "مايك، ماذا تفعل هناك؟" فكان يجيب: "لم أُرِد أن أعلق في الازدحام، للتأكد من الوصول دائمًا في الوقت المناسب". ولهذا كان يغادر منزله أحيانًا في حوالي الساعة 5:30 صباحًا. لكن الأمر الغريب في القصة هو أنه كان يصل إلى ملعب التدريب ثم يغفو فورًا بعمق خلف عجلة القيادة. وعن��ما كانت المجموعة الأولى تبدأ التدريب في الساعة 9، كان اللاعبون يسألون: "أين مايكل؟ إنه متأخر. لماذا هو متأخر؟"

فكنت أقول: "��سمعوا، ربما يتأخر قليلًا في الوصول إلى أرض الملعب، لكن بينما كنتم لا تزالون في أسرتكم، كان هو بالفعل في موقف سيارات ملعب التدريب داخل سيارته". لكنه كان لا يزال شابًا. لقد غلبه النعاس، وكان علينا أن نطرق نافذته ونقول: "هيا يا مايكل، الساعة الآن التاسعة، حان وقت التدريب".

@shareGBP Any way you look at it, a 10% plunge in platinum price is going to rock the SLP share price. It creates inherent uncertainty. Sell off is expected, albeit seems extreme to me, too. Interesting week ahead. All eyes on Chrome too.

@shareGBP Interesting to see Rhodium account for 33% of 4e output now. Note Rh has grown 34% since 1st Jan ‘26 and unlike the other PGM’s, has not pulled back from recent highs. Nodes extremely well. Just need to make sure they don’t plunge too much cash into capex.

#SLP very detailed presentation yesterday from Company which highlights the continued opportunity here despite a steady SP appreciation in last year. Capex in H1 of $12m will half in H2 and fall further in 2027/2028. This as high basket price begins to hit bottom line.

I’ll say it again, the market is missing the insane value in PGMs. One month later you can buy PGM producers at that same price.

Despite:
2 months of platinum >$2000
1 month of rhodium >$10,000

@laurence_hulse Effectively worth, on average, just £260k in revenue a year over 5 years. Whether there’s extra narrative around it or not, i’m always a touch wary when companies feel contracts as small as this warrant announcing to the market.
