The Embassy of Iran in South Africa sent a message to the Embassy of Ukraine informing us about the opening of a book of condolences for the deceased ayatollah and his associates. Ukrainian Ambassador Dr. Olexander Scherba sent them a response.
Your Excellency,
Mr. Ambassador,
Since you notified the Embassy of Ukraine of the book of condolences for the deceased Ayatollah Khamenei and Iran’s military leadership, I feel compelled to remind you of the following.
As military allies of the Russian Federation, the deceased leaders of Iran had on their hands the blood of thousands of Ukrainian citizens – men and women, children and elderly – killed with the help of the infamous Iran-made “Shahed” drones and other military know-how so eagerly provided to Russia by your government. Your leaders were complicit in bringing endless grief to Ukrainian civilians.
Being a person of faith, I try not to rejoice in the death of other people, even those who chose to be tormentors of my country, who did nothing bad to theirs. But as someone who has spent three years to the tune of Iran-created machines of death howling every night in the sky over Kyiv and other peaceful Ukrainian cities, I cannot help but wish for every culprit to meet the justice they deserve. If not by human law, then in the face of God Almighty.
Ambassador, I do not know you personally and have no grudge against you. Sometimes, good diplomats must speak for bad leaders and their policies. But I hope you understand that I won’t express condolences for someone whose death I do not mourn.
Sincerely,
Dr. Olexander Scherba
Ambassador

Bravo, @HenryLindo123 🔥
A few days before February 24, 2022, I argued with a close friend of mine.
He told me to prepare. A full-scale invasion was coming. “Stock up on water. Buy canned food,” he said.
I thought he was exaggerating. I told him he was spreading panic. I was angry.
Then he said quietly: “They have brought mobile crematoriums to the border.”
It sounded unreal. Dramatic. Impossible.
This was not part of my plans. This was not my life.
At 4:30 in the morning on February 24, I woke up to explosions.
The first day passed in a fog. Around 9 a.m., in my neighbor’s kitchen, we were drinking cognac. I had never liked cognac. That morning it tasted like water.
The first month was chaos.
Should we leave? Should we stay? The city was being bombed. Windows were taped in crosses. We texted each other constantly, desperately hoping it would end soon.
Then they entered Kherson.
A friend wrote, “They’re in the city.” He never came back online.
That was the moment we understood: this was real.
The first month we cried. We painfully realized that the life we had before was gone. We kept thinking it would be temporary. That somehow, everything would return.
It did not.
Then reality hardened.
We understood we could not leave. Not because it was easy to stay — but because it was ours. Our country. Our city. Our responsibility.
I will never forget the Ukrainian border guard who answered the Russian warship in the first days of the war.
I will never forget a five-year-old boy digging sand to help defend Odesa.
Since then, we have changed.
The world admires Ukrainian resilience. But we are not superheroes. We are ordinary people who wake up, make coffee, go to work — and live through air raid sirens.
We are very tired.
Those in the trenches are far more tired. Those in the trenches — and those who survived.
Over time, unknown phone numbers became dear to us. Soldiers we have never met became family.
There are things we cannot stop. And there are things we cannot choose not to do.
Because there — on the front line — it is much harder than it is for us here.

Since Hungary joined the EU in 2004 it has taken more than €65 - 70+ billion more than it contributed.
@PM_ViktorOrban runs a puppet regime for Putin, yet he wants to dictate where the EU can spend its money in helping Ukraine.
Hungary needs to be removed from the EU.
Lasst uns zusammenstehen. Ich bin dabei.

Me liking every post from every Tom Dick and Harry supporting Ukraine. From world leaders to everyday folk who support because it's the right thing to do. Something vatniks will never understand.
