During the #UgandaParliamentExhibition, we highlighted corruption and gross abuse through money being received by staff in Speaker Anita Among’s office ostensibly for “Corporate Social Responsibility” or “social contributions” as the budget item that’s allocated over UGX 50 Billion every year is called. A source in Parliament had told me about 2 years back that the person on whose account the money is put, withdraws it and gives it to the speaker then goes to Nasser road to forge accountability that money was given to a certain remote school that sometimes doesn’t exist. @AgoraCFR has been doing investigations to follow this money through the details on the various vouchers and found that about 90% of the cases we followed never saw the money that the leadership of @Parliament_Ug and handlers claimed to have spent it on.
