Thanks to our great Cabinet Member for Environment @Ballymolland for visiting our park in #homesteads#thurrock - need to get it back open ASAP since a little vandalism, then consult to see what improvements local people want. @thurrockcouncil

Emerging from #COVID19 , this @Conservatives administration in #thurrock#essex is investing millions extra in social care & the police; making us healthier & safer is the route to bouncing back. Let’s not let a chaotic #labour coalition risk this. Vote conservative on May 6th
I recently chaired my Economically Vulnerable Taskforce between @thurrockcouncil@OliveAcademies and partners from business and social care. It’s clear we will need to create new opportunities for those often on the margins - and we will! There is amazing energy here to help!
At cabinet tonight we have presented a fresh start to our youth mental health service - faster, less clinical and more locally accountable. We will now go about building the model with our partners as we aim to go live in 2022. A Great night @Allen_Mayes_
Political point scoring saw #thurrock#labour vote against millions of pounds extra for those in care and those working in care. I’m proud of the budget we passed. https://t.co/xPl5oin9Ow
Shameful. @thurrocklabour voting against our budget to invest millions extra to pay care providers more, to support the care market for the vulnerable after this #COVID19 nightmare. Politics matters more than supporting those in care / providing care. Disgusting
Shocking to hear Cllr John Kent tonight trying to use the success of @LoveHardiePark as a reason to increase council tax. Can I remind him that it was due to the cuts he made that Hardie park become a jungle and a rubbish dump until residents got fed up .@thurrocklabour
Today myself and @Allen_Mayes_ met with health, education and social care partners to discuss a major local shake up of mental health provision for young people. It’s exciting and far reaching! More details to come soon!
Tonight, we have taken the first step to form a full constitutional committee for the “prevent” agenda on radicalisation, human trafficking and modern day slavery. It’s a vital area that needs the focus and attention of its own dedicated committee.
We are all apprentices to older people It’s not about living forever it’s about the quality of life lived be kind and caring as one day you would have completed your apprenticeship @ThurrockCCG @franlc@Allen_Mayes_#life lived
