2. Generally you want to raise into merged ranges and play defence vs polarised ranges. In that preflop spot the OOP is up against 2 merged ranges so there’s a strong incentive to vpip as a raise. Postflop the BB xr is quite polar so we play defence, also we anticipate a 3b from BU after we continue
