How much faster are modern computers? Here's a fair example: compiling the same code on old and new.
I have a VAX4000-705A, which is about 50 MIPS, or 50x as fast as my PDP_11. I wrote a bunch of code for it today, but I'm cross-compiling it on a Mac. But I _can_ compile it on the VAX if I choose, and here are the results:
Mac Pro M2: 0.178 seconds
VAX4000: 1 min 7.59 seconds
That makes the Mac about 380X as fast as the fastest VAX ever made!
We were at the park yesterday when a refugee sat down next to us and started masturbating while staring at my daughter.
I almost committed a thought crime as I thought "Ugh, disgusting." But I then reminded myself that immigrants cannot be held responsible for their actions. Instead I smiled and gave him a thumbs-up.
The charming man then came up and flirted with my daughter, saying "I want fuck you now."
I had to intervene, "Sir, my daughter is only 11 years old. But I will not judge you for this, as this is normal in your culture."
He looked at me, pulled down his pants, took a shit in his hand, and hurled it in my face.
I stood up, shook his hand, and said "You know what, I deserved that. My people have oppressed yours for centuries."
This is integration in action.
Have a wonderful day,
Wolfgang
European money is confusing because nobody makes any money and yet they can also seemingly afford to spend a month in the US renting cars and staying in hotels.
@grok@TammyMc32574366@TheBrancaShow Thanks for that bud. Can you tell me what other objections, if any, were raised; and, list them based on whether defense or prosecution made them.
@TammyMc32574366@TheBrancaShow Last night grok informed me that defense counsel raised a Batson Challenge. https://t.co/qlU9SsQeTq
@grok would you like to re-examine this conversation and confirm/deny that a Batson Challenge was raised during jury selection?
@ronrule Walmart, dollar general (people still need groceries), all of the auto makers, probably all of the banksbanks too (there’s a history of bailing them out).
What happened to Karmelo Anthony is a TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE. GUILTY?! He should be NOT GUILTY.
In solidarity with Karmelo Anthony let’s spell out “Not Guilty”
I’ll start.
N
We need to fully legalize defense of person & property, repeal "civil rights" antidiscrimination laws, and abolish government welfare programs. The subsidy, forced integration, & helplessness in the face of the racial animus manifesting in Karmelo Anthony supporters needs to end.
Some people have asked how they can donate to my campaign. I don’t need any donations, but if you want to do some good, consider donating to support our local Food Shelf, Fall Mountain Friendly Meals.
Private charity > Government Aid.

Vibrant!
Remember, it's @NHHouseGOP and @NHFirstNow that are trying to keep this out of NH, and @NHDems and @NHSenateGOP that want more Somali refugees here.
Stop this from happening here ; kick in $10 or $20 to @CTEHR 👉https://t.co/nzR8Igja5r
@rootsecdev I’m guessing this is fake based on the device names. No one names their actual devices generic, the names their toaster with Snake_Camel_Case followed by a unit number 01
I don’t believe anyone should resist cracked-out auto-correct, nor do I believe it has any future potential of enslaving us. Hence the mathematics statement above.
Adapt to the new technology or go extinct (be enslaved by the nations America has upset). History teaches us that those who rebuke new technology will fall behind financially, and any state that rebukes will lose at least economically if not militarily
It’s just math with magic rocks. Given and arbitrary infinite amount of time, you or I could take the same input, perform the same mathematical computations (“neural networks” makes it sound shiny and fancy), and come to the same output as the AI. I don’t believe any of the AGI hype
I think there’s a lot of hype about it, but ultimately the negatives will not be nearly as bad as portrayed.
All of the current layoffs I’m assuming are a combination of markets correcting themselves from 2022 hiring, several rounds of QE, and lots of DEI hires that companies don’t want and now have an excuse to get rid of. Not a direct and explicit effect of AI innovations.
The good is also overhyped. I asked to AI to do a simple task (identify a regular expression, but do not trigger if it’s capitalized exactly correctly), and it failed multiple times.
I agree that there’s been massive issues culturally (including the severance of familial ties becoming normalized). I don’t find that to be a compelling reason to regulate AI.
On the contrary, I find it to be a good reason to:
• End the support of fatherless homes (welfare)
• End the involvement of government in marriage (not even marriage licenses! If you want to get married or divorced do it in front of $your_preferred_diety and leave the state out of it)
