There are approximately 6,500 Jewish students at University of Michigan, making up 14 percent of the student body.
It’s a university known for its large, proud Jewish community.
The idea that a Jewish student could be attacked there, beaten and spat on by a group of people, would be nothing short of shocking if it wasn’t for the steady advance of antisemitic rhetoric on US campuses throughout the last year.
Everyone—from every background and political leaning—must call out violence and intimidation against Jewish students.
It is already far too late.
