In my opinion, it’s because sooo many of the people in power (in education) don’t respect the profession. They respect the politics and moving up. How are you going to be in charge of something you don’t actually care about? (I’m not saying all…. But there’s a whole lot)
The treatment for an ectopic pregnancy is abortion.
The treatment for a septic uterus is abortion.
The treatment for a miscarriage that your body won’t release is abortion.
If you can’t get those abortions, you die.
You. Die.
a girl on tik tok just said “I would rather adjust my life to your absence, than adjust my boundaries to accommodate your disrespect” and I think that a lot of people need to take that and really engrave it into their soul.
I think on of the most detrimental stories we can write in our minds is that we are working harder than everyone around us. Just because I can’t see the work or someone isn’t talking/complaining about the work doesn’t mean it’s not there or it’s not happening.
“Hey guys, we care about student mental health and also take this standardized test written by rich testing corporations so we can see how dumb they’ve gotten over the last 14 months!!!”

2 miscarriages have deepened the way I see life. Every time I see a human, I just want to say:
“Do you realize how big of a deal it is that you were born?! That you’re alive? How many things had to come together so perfectly for you to even be here?! You are a miracle.”
