I have been avoiding this platform, hence only a few posts. I’m still allotmenting! Just not sharing on here. I’m going quiet on X. It’s no longer for me.
For those that love and accept people for whoever they may be then please follow me…

Slow and steady… tidying the main path flower bed, an hour and some digging in the bright sunshine can be the best winter tonic.

Well you have to start somewhere…
After a prolonged break from the plot I’m now confident of a little bit more free time, so I plan to devote that free time to getting things in order.
First stage: Infrastructure and Maintenance. 🤣

@capabilitycharl @Shitlawns@PlanningShit That’s a Persimmon house if I ever did see it. Windows are in the roof instead of the actual building as no doubt they’re built looking over properties and planning would only allow two floors unless the windows were frosted. Awful looking boxes.

From the spring Daffodils to the late summer Dahlias, nothing can instantly brighten a plot visit like a bright bloom!
I love the Verbena in the evening sunshine and the brassy Dahlia blooms that stand out four plots down! 😎

Sometimes the Flowers take the centre stage…
It’s lovely cooking up a tasty storm with your homegrown produce but over the years I’ve grown to love the display of flowers that the plot provides every year…

Looking back at some of the ideas I had along the way and thinking if I had tried a little harder they may have worked! 🤣
The bicycle wheel sweetpea trellis!
Sweet smelling and untamed! 😁

It was 11 years ago today that the Allotment Journey began, I was handed a plot that was so thick in weeds and brambles that I thought I would never get anything in the ground.
Years have passed, plots have changed and my involvement in day to day plot life has lessened.
Had a lovely few hours @RHSBridgewater, with a stop for lunch by the Lake and a million bees buzzing around, it made for a very nice day.
Already planning a return visit in a month or so to see how the beds all fill out!
