Something devasting just happened in my sport. And i don't see hardly anyone talking about it here on 𝕏.

Today, In event 1 of the CrossFit games, which was a run and swim event, Lazar Dukic, unfortunately met some kind of difficulty and drowned 😢

This man was a beam of light in the world who inspired so many. He was in the prime of his life having won the FIttest in Europe for the last 2 years in a row.

Today this sport mourns, and sends love to his family 💔

My wife and I watch the CrossFit games every year.
This morning a Serbian CrossFit athlete drowned while competing at the games. I did not know the man, but I haven’t been able to shake the terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach all day.

Today's CrossFit Games ended in tragedy with the wholly unnecessary drowning of Lazar Đukić. Mike explains all of the things they did wrong here.

Don't do water events if you're not going to respect the water.
