Statue of Qassem Soleimani, former commander of #IRGC Quds Force, is ablazed in #Kurdistan. The Islamic Republic & its IRGC have never been welcomed in the secular culture of the Kurdish region. 44 years later, other ethnic groups are reaching that same point. #Mahsa_Amini
Secretary Rubio on the hope for America. 🇺🇸
"It is a unique and exceptional country. And as we come upon this 250 year anniversary, I think we have a lot to learn and be proud of in our history." MUST WATCH ⬇️
Democracies are upgrading dynamics and the exiled crow prince of #Iran@PahlaviReza should include the #Kurdish leaders in his political platform to be seen as a unifying force. He should move beyond past, renew Georgetown coalition and initiate a national reconciliation to start a new page. Exclusions are not working. Time for Iran to introduce courageous leaders for such tough times and difficult decisions. Unless such an inclusive broad democratic alternative is formed, the world would prefer to work with the current regime in Iran. As simple and painful as that.
Exiled crown prince @PahlaviReza seems frustrated with European MPs and journalists. Maybe that European MP is right saying Iranians are not ready for democracy although fighting for freedom from clerical dictatorship. Obvious from how the opposition groups treat one another. Time to revisit and redefine policy.
Whether or not Europe stands with us, whether or not your journalists do their jobs, whether or not your politicians demonstrate the courage to act, I will fight for my people and my country.
🚨🚨Trump on Truth Social: Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship, and a Freighter from the United Kingdom. That wasn’t nice, was it? My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — They will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations. Iran recently announced that they were closing the Strait, which is strange, because our BLOCKADE has already closed it. They’re helping us without knowing, and they are the ones that lose with the closed passage, $500 Million Dollars a day! The United States loses nothing. In fact, many Ships are headed, right now, to the U.S., Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska, to load up, compliments of the IRGC, always wanting to be “the tough guy!” We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! They’ll come down fast, they’ll come down easy and, if they don’t take the DEAL, it will be my Honor to do what has to be done, which should have been done to Iran, by other Presidents, for the last 47 years. IT’S TIME FOR THE IRAN KILLING MACHINE TO END!
Spoke with President Trump this morning about Iran for 20 minutes.
"If they don't sign this deal, the whole country is going to get blown up," he told me.
The President said that Special Envoys Witkoff and Kushner will travel to Islamabad, Pakistan for talks this week.
Great leaders are made and needed for extremely difficult but increasingly constructive decisions to resolve standing issues for a better future. Missing in #Iran politics both at home and the opposition abroad. There is a right way to resolve the #Kurdish issue in Iran, and this is definitely not the one. I can help @PahlaviReza with a real solution if he brings back his democratic and inclusive version back to the arena.
#IRGC is in control of the whole #Iran along with a clerical network and all high-level positions including those so-called diplomats or new leaders in suits are occupied by IRGC members or are approved by IRGC and the Clerics.
The Iranians have provided us with a lot of information to learn from over the past 24 hours if we choose. What have I learned?
About 24 hours ago, the foreign minister, the guy in the suit, declared the straits open with full passage. Last night, the IRGC, the guys with the guns, attacked a container ship and said the straits were closed.
Here’s what I’ve learned: the guy in the suit is not in charge. It’s the guys with the guns who are in charge. They are the IRGC, who are the Iranian equivalent of the SS/gestapo – an important distinction.
We miss this distinction at our own peril. I have all the confidence in the world that President Trump will not let this provocation go unchallenged and will continue to push for a quick resolution through diplomacy or otherwise ensuring that:
-The United States and the world will control the Strait of Hormuz, not Iran
-The over 900 pounds of highly enriched uranium that could be used to make a dirty bomb or quickly enriched to become weapons grade material is completely removed from Iran
-The Iranian missile and drone program will be limited, their support for terrorist organizations will come to an end, and there will never ever be a path in the future for Iran to develop a nuclear weapon by being allowed to enrich uranium.
Like many other countries, Iran can have peaceful nuclear power but no enrichment.
How this conflict ends will determine the stability of the region and the world for decades to come. Due to President Trump’s strong leadership through imposing the blockade and our brilliant military, over time, we have all the cards.

#Iran is going to pay a huge price by not making a deal in Islamabad, Pakistan. The best opportunity missed because of political miscalculations on the part of #IRGC. A blockade is legally considered an act of war and a quarantine would be a lesser level of hostility.
#Iran chose not to accept the US terms for an agreement to end the war. @VP is heading back home without a deal. Iran will pay a huge price for a flawed miscalculation of power and a damaging tradition of resistance and endurance.
In my opinion piece in the @WashTimes, below, I outline why Kurdish participation is essential to Iran’s democratic future. Kurds have consistently been at the forefront of resistance - from rejecting the Islamic Republic in 1979 to leading the Women, Life, Freedom movement. W/ strong grassroots support & organizational capacity, we are not a threat; the opposite: We can be a vital partner in building an inclusive & stable Iran. @WhiteHouse, @StateDept, @DeptofWar

The US has long provided weapons to the #Kurds in Iraq and Syria as key partners in the fight against ISIS. For both political and logistical reasons, any transfer of weapons to the Kurds in #Iran has to be coordinated with the Kurds in Iraq. So far the Kurds from Iran have not received any weapons but are open to talks to find an address where to send to next time to make sure they end up going to protestors in Iran.
NEW: The United States sent guns to the Iranian protesters through the Kurds, President Trump told Fox News.
"We sent guns to the protesters, a lot of them," President Trump told me. "And I think the Kurds took the guns."
#Iran is IRGC and all these new leaders are all members of #IRGC or they can’t be where they are. The regime change has not happened yet and the regime has not changed its behavior yet. Good that @SecRubio keeps it an option.
SECRETARY RUBIO: The people of Iran are incredible people. The people who lead them are the problem.
If there are new people now in charge with a more reasonable vision of the future, it would be good news for the entire world.
But we must be prepared if that isn’t the case.
Kurdish Peshmerga helped the world defeat ISIS—now under ballistic missile attack from Iran. Condolences to my Kurdish friends for these losses, and gratitude for our long partnership with Peshmerga across decades.
Welcome to the new Middle East emerging. #Kurdish national holiday aka #Newroz is congratulated by the US mission Syria for the first time in modern history. Newroz is the most important national holiday in the Kurdish and #Persian calendars.
#Kurds celebrate their new year aka #Newroz differently by keeping the most important symbol, fire, alive and dear. They sing and dance around a BIG fire. For their cousins #Persians, the 7-S table is the dominant concept.

This song, sung by Homa Dzeyi and Lara, his daughter, had a special effect.
Now, listen to it in the voice of #Zozan. Zozan is wearing Lara Dizayî’s Newroz design, which she had created for Milan Fashion Week, as a special tribute to this special occasion.
Happy Newroz to all Kurds around the world.
