January 2026, @ Kobobebe Dam, on the border of Uganda and Kenya, drought had turned the water green. This is the only water the Turkana and Karimojong communities have for their livestock. Women try to filter it, but the algae remains. Not safe, yet there is no alternative.

#Kobebe Dam in Moroto, Karamoja, constructed in 2010 at a cost of $2.5M, dries up prematurely, leaving thousands of pastoralist households without reliable livestock water. Sustainable rehabilitation and improved catchment management are urgently needed.@OPMUganda@min_waterUg

Even when many have been silenced, it's always refreshing to see that we still have some moral voices courageously calling out the injustice. Thank you, Rev. Fr. Eric Justin Uma. God willing, Uganda will be free.
