As a result, Japanese supporters regularly tidy stadiums after games, whether their team wins, loses, or draws. They see it as a way to show gratitude and leave the venue in better condition than they found it.

The custom even extends to the players, who are said to leave their dressing room spotless after every match, often accompanied by a thank-you note and folded origami cranes as tokens of appreciation.
