Yesterday, the town of #BrigGlis invited around 80 guests to the historic Stockalper Castle for the ceremonial opening of the #AlpWeek. Afterwards, a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the #ViaAlpina long-distance hiking trail took place at the ZeughausKultur.

We started the AlpWeek 2022 with with an excursion to the #Simplon pass - which also served to publicise a #petition by various NGOs demanding that dangerous goods transports on all #Alpine routes be shifted from #road to #rail. @alpeninitiative
