The National Pension Commission is proud to announce the launch of Pension Revolution 2.0 - Stronger Pensions, Stronger Nigeria. A transformative programme of reforms that builds on two decades of progress to guide Nigeria’s pension industry into its next phase of growth and resilience.
The first great turning point came in 2004 with the enactment of the Pension Reform Act, which introduced the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and revolutionised retirement savings in Nigeria. That reform laid the foundation for confidence, discipline, and sustainability in our pension system.
Two decades later, we stand at another defining moment. Pension Revolution 2.0 is the most significant advancement since 2004, bold in ambition, yet evolutionary in practice. It ushers in a new era of dignity for retirees, inclusion for every Nigerian worker, and resilience for our national economy.
This programme is guided by the vision of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has directed that our pension system must enable dignity in retirement, broaden access for all Nigerians, and mobilise long-term savings as reliable capital for national development.
Beginning this week, the Commission will release the new regulations daily. Each guideline sets higher standards across critical pillars - from investment and risk management to governance and compliance, to service delivery and financial inclusion. In line with the President’s directive, the Commission will also, within the next three months, pilot health insurance coverage for retirees and activate the Minimum Pension Guarantee, with the aim of safeguarding retirees’ dignity and supporting a decent standard of living.
Collectively, these reforms represent a bold step forward:
1.Enabling dignity for retirees through health insurance and a minimum pension floor.
2.Optimising investment performance while safeguarding contributors’ funds to deliver sustainable long-term returns.
3.Expanding pensions to reach every Nigerian, especially those in the informal economy.
4.Harnessing technology and innovation to democratise access and improve service delivery.
5.Unlocking pension assets as a dependable source of financing for national development
Pension Revolution 2.0 is more than regulatory reform, it is a renewal of trust, an evolution of our system, and a bold national strategy.

@Pryncekelz @Lombard_Finance@etherlink@tezos You said it, not me but I absolutely agree 👀
LBTC turned Bitcoin from passive gold to productive capital. Lombard = utility unlocked.
@Lombard_Finance A history lesson for normies and nerds alike. Evolution of BTC from store of value to programmable capital is the story of our decade.
@Lombard_Finance The vision has been sharp since launch: unlock BTC liquidity, drive on-chain yield, build capital rails. Lombard isn’t just a brand it’s a mission.
@Lombard_Finance This is yield clarity. A beautiful breakdown for those bridging TradFi brains into DeFi flows. Easy to follow, but backed by big mechanics. Bookmark-worthy.
@Lombard_Finance These info cards are golden. Clear, bold, and educational. Lombard transforms BTC from passive stash to capital that works and the visuals slap too.
@Lombard_Finance Lombard climbing Kaito’s top 20 again is no coincidence. Consistent innovation and a crystal-clear ambition for Bitcoin capital markets. 强者!
@Lombard_Finance Love how this zooms out to show the why. Lombard isn’t just moving Bitcoin it’s reimagining its utility. $1B TVL wasn’t hype, it was proof.
@Lombard_Finance This is why narratives matter. @GemBooster framed it perfectly: Wall Street sees BTC as a product. Builders see it as potential. The future belongs to the latter
@Lombard_Finance Ethereum’s dominance is expected. But Sui pulling this weight? 🔥
LBTC is clearly becoming the native yield asset across ecosystems and Lombard is orchestrating it.
@Lombard_Finance@GemBooster A standing ovation for @GemBooster 🎭 The consistency, clarity, and care you bring to every post is unmatched. A true bard in the Bitcoin DeFi renaissance. Bravo!
@Lombard_Finance $152B of BTC locked in ETFs for Wall Street.
Only $35B used onchain for real finance.
Lombard’s bet? That the future belongs to builders, not spectators. Onchain > Offchain. Let’s move capital, not just custody it
@bluefinapp@KaitoAI Perfect synergy. Kaito tracks the mindshare, Bluefin handles the market share. If you’re not yapping and earning yet, you’re sleeping. 💤 Use the code 👉 KaitoAI 💰
