“Kids in the Kitchen was my brainchild, we got it up and running, but now it is doing so well it doesn’t even need us anymore, and that’s what we want to see, Alphapointe kids teaching other kids,” says Beth about her involvement with Kids in the Kitchen. Thank you, Beth.

Today we are featuring Beth Kelloff, an alumnae of the greater Kansas City Delta Gamma chapter. Beth became involved with Delta Gamma when she was in college, and their fraternity foundation is “service for sight."

Congrats to our competitors Eddie, Tian Ai, Russel, and Solame, all of whom represented Alphapointe and our community at the national Abacus Bee competition in Louisville, Kentucky. Solame and Tian Ai both managed a podium finish, each grabbing a second-place in their category.

We have a new space at @Alphapointe to prepare your products! The primary function of this new Clean Room is kitting and packaging, and the room is ISO Level 7 Certified and ISO 14644 Compliant. The room has sterilization, shrink wrap, and heat seal capabilities. #SupplyChain

The @Alphapointe team empowers clients by helping each person develop mobility skills & teaching ways to utilize adaptive technology & accomplish daily tasks. Learning these new skills along w/ our braille instruction can help a person regain independence & build self confidence.

@NatEyeInstitute projects that by 2030, 4.2 million Americans will be diagnosed w/ #Glaucoma. This is a 58% increase from those currently diagnosed. January is #GlaucomaAwarenessMonth - a time to spread awareness about glaucoma, often described as “sight stealing.”

Today is World Braille Day, which is held each year to commemorate the French inventor who created Braille, Louis Braille.
Braille is a powerful tool for people with vision loss, helping them read, write, navigate the world, and maintain their independence.
