Are you trying to reconstruct your beliefs, worldview, community, and happiness after a faith crisis? Me too. Let's do it together. We got this.
Check out my podcast on spotify, apple podcasts, google, and youtube where I try to find positivity after a Mormon faith crisis.
The thing I want most in my faith journey is to be real. So after scrolling through hundreds of others, here's my non orthodox Easter testimony: I think I believe in Jesus and I contemplate it everyday. And you know what? For me right now, that's enough.
Happy Easter everyone
@Manhattva @LDSdiscussions So.... better than Jesus? "I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet…"
@Manhattva @LDSdiscussions It would appear the answer is no, he doesn't know anything. C'mon man, my 4 year old is better at stalling bedtime than you are at stalling this argument. We're all patiently waiting for you mind blowingly simple explanations.
In my next episode of "Everything from Amulek to Zeezrom" (that I hope to publish this week), I discuss possible solutions for those who don't fit the stereotypical mold of orthodox active members within the church community. Sadly, this answers my question. We don't belong.
Please feel free to DM or email me if you want to talk about previous episodes though or have suggestions for future content and I'll answer if/when I'm available.
For personal reasons, the Alternative Mormon Podcast will be on a temporary hiatus. Hopefully I will get my latest episode edited and published this week 🫰 but after that it could be a month or two before I'm back to recording episodes.
Thank you @NewsMormon for allowing me to join in on your show! Make sure you all give this podcast a listen, they've got a fun program

@Monique_Derr I'm pretty sure he apologized for that, and obviously that's a long ways from Stalin-esque leftism 😂 but I remember when he tweeted "To all the Jews, and the Other Communities...." I was like...whoah
@Monique_Derr One in recent history that comes to my mind, was when Bill de Blasio made his comments about orthodox Jews during Covid. I'm far from a Covid denier so that's not why, but anytime a public leader specifically calls out a religious group it tends to raise eyebrows.
@Monique_Derr But maybe that's why I've distanced myself from the republican party and consider myself more of a libertarian. Still registered as a republican to hopefully keep...ahem...certain past presidents from winning the primary election.
@Monique_Derr For people like me who just want to debate controversial things like lowering government spending and protecting individual freedoms from the overarching control of a government, we just face palm at these idiots.
@Monique_Derr Personally I'm happy to talk to anyone though, even those I wholeheartedly disagree with. That's why I started my podcast, is because I have the same attitude towards religious discourse. I think we all could spend more time trying to talk to people on the opposite side of issues
@Monique_Derr I think your lack of responses from people on the right may be indicative of some of the problems from the left. Maybe less harmful, but I don't think any less divisive. I'm just a little right of center, and I even shy away from talking politics or culture too much on here.
