To many Americans, Juneteenth is a fairly new federal holiday. But the first celebrations of this extraordinary moment in American history took place 159 years ago.
In school we were all taught that “Lincoln freed the slaves.” Today we know the story did not end there, and that in fact the struggle for Black liberation is ongoing – and we each have a part to play.
To put it simply, a debt is owed.
The historic crime of enslavement must be addressed beginning with a guarantee of reparations paid directly to the descendants of African slaves as an unequivocal human right.
We don’t need any further debate on whether reparations should be paid. They should, without question, as they were in 1988 to those impacted by WWII Japanese internment camps.
Yet just as the systemic oppression of Black Americans did not end with the legal abolishment of chattel slavery, reparations are merely the beginning – not the end – of the agenda we urgently need to embrace to facilitate Black liberation in America.
Civil Rights legend Fannie Lou Hamer famously said, “Nobody’s free until everybody’s free."
Everything that Black Americans are fighting for aligns with the Green Party agenda and a progressive vision for our collective future.
Our platform for Black liberation is the collaborative work of our team and Black community members who are directly impacted by these issues in their daily lives. You can read more here: https://t.co/FbxrOfut5M
yeah. whenever our government accuses another government of doing something evil, rest assured that our government is doing the same evil thing... and probably was the first to do it.
The U.S. military ran a secret anti-vaccination campaign in the Philippines and other nations in an effort to sow doubt about COVID vaccines made by China, according to an investigation by journalist @joel_schectman.
@reelcrime24 This was the turning point for me, on whether this was a set-up. If this is correct, I can't think of a reasonable explanation. I sincerely hope we get answers on this.
@SnakePo9@shitdisturber02 whatever the outcome, it's just tragic. How much tragedy can one family take?? Also, if all the suspicious things turn out to be coincidences, I feel awful for the other parties involved. I hope your family is holding up ❤️
@SnakePo9@shitdisturber02 dude!! I originally believed she accidentally hit him without even noticing... thought it was awful to charge her for murder, but that she probably did it. Now I can't even believe the shit that has come out in this case- it does appear to be a cover-up! 😕
And, there it is folks.
The shoe of murder victim #JohnOKeefe was located on the afternoon of 1/29/22, at the scene where #KarenRead had hit John with her car earlier that day and then left John to die.
Read's team lied about this shoe for months to the public.

@maddenifico If y'all want to avoid this scenario, dems would be wise to give us candidates that aren't complicit in genocide. As of right now, Jill Stein will get my vote.
After his daughter Noa was kidnapped, Yaakov said:
"Let's make peace with our neighbors.
I want my daughter to come back.
They also have captives, there are also mothers crying there. We are two peoples with one Father, let's, for the sake of these things, please make a real peace."
What a person.
BREAKING:
Israel used Joe Biden’s designated “humanitarian aid pier” to massacre more than 210 Palestinians civilians, mostly children, in Nuseirat refugee camp today.
This is a US-Israeli holocaust.
Repeat. Spread it. Let the world know.
