Here are the charts I presented at my hearing last week, titled “Assessing the Damage Done by Obamacare.”

The first chart shows the state-by-state percent increase in premiums on Obamacare exchanges since its implementation — an average 169% increase, 4.3 times the rate of inflation.

By comparison, the average percent increase of employer-sponsored insurance is less than half of that at 74% — 1.9 times the rate of inflation. 

Obamacare is a DISASTER.

The D exaggerations and hysteria about health care premiums becoming suddenly unaffordable leading to death and destruction are about to be seen as myths.

Premiums for those in poverty will now go from $0/ month to…$0/month. No change!

A family of four making $32,150 (100% of poverty level) will go from $0 to only $56/month. Most families pay more than $1000/month.

A family of four making $62,150 (double the poverty level) will go from $107/month to $354/month.

Three times poverty? Those making $96,450 will go from $482 to $801/month.

The government didn’t shut down because the Ds want to protect the poor and the needy. It shut down because the Ds want free health care. This entire debate is about middle and upper-middle income people who the Ds want to give massive subsidies to so hardly anyone is left with private insurance coverage.

This is an Obamacare bailout, with the goal of eliminating private insurance, on the road to a single-payer, government run health system. Obamacare for all.

It’s a good thing Rs stopped it.
