We are urging Trinity alumni who are outraged at @tcddublin's drastic decision to lump @tcdsu with a €214K fine, aimed at undermining students' right to protest, to contact the college and demand they rescind the fine.

Trinity students achieved a huge win yesterday, but the fight is not over. @tcdsu is still facing a €214K fine, due to be paid on May 30.
Trinity alumni, keep the pressure up and email college to demand the fine be rescinded: https://t.co/UsLmotGmsR
The protest will *still go ahead*. We will be gathering to celebrate the BDS victory at Trinity and to see and in solidarity with the students and workers targeted with disciplinary action for peaceful protest.
➡️ Rescind the fine
➡️ No punishment for peaceful protests
The encampment and blockade on campus will end today following successful talks between university senior management and protestors. Plans are underway to return to normal university business for students, staff & the public. Read the full statement: https://t.co/Q2zJKKwAig
There are decades where nothing happens and weeks where decades happen. 5 days is all it took for @tcddublin to commit to fully divesting from Israel. A testament to grassroots student-staff power.
Solidarity pouring in from @ifut, @unitetheunion, and former @tcdsu officers for the @TrinityBDS encampment and those targeted by Trinity for peaceful, legal protest.
✊ Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions NOW
✊ Rescind the fee NOW
✊ Stop singling out & targeting protesters NOW
Great to see so many Trinity academics standing for the right to protest and against targeted attacks on our community members.
Thank you, and solidarity!

Iontach an rud é agus acadóirí na Tríonóide ar son cearta agóidíochta agus in aghaidh ionsaithe ar ár bpobal.
Grmma!
88.97% of respondents to @Trinity_News' poll believe that the €214k fine to @tcdsu was not an appropriate response to the students’ union actions.
Alumni, support the union by urging Trinity to rescind the fine, here: https://t.co/UsLmotGmsR
We would encourage alumni to attend the protest at noon on Thurs in solidarity with the encampment and students' and workers' right to protest.
Alumni, please contact the college to demand Trinity rescind TCDSU's €214K fine here: https://t.co/wYaJK6SJVh

This is so inspiring to see Trinity Students protest for #Palestine
As a former President @tcdsu I am very proud of Trinity Students Union taking this action.
We all have a duty to protest & act against the Genocide being committed against the people of Gaza
#GazaGenocide
If, like myself, you've long since graduated from Trinity and can only wistfully follow the encapment from afar, here's a simple action you can take to support the great work happening. Took me less than five minutes.
@tcddublin As a @tcdalumni I support the Trinity Student Union @TCDSU_President and their actions in support of Palestine and in support of student rights 🙏
College is very keen on alumni being considered part of the Trinity community, and that gives us a right, but also a duty, to show solidarity when students finally fight both against punitive College policy and for what is right morally in relation to Gaza.
Up the students!
In 2018, TCDSU occupied the Dining Hall, resulting in the prevention of a €450 Exams Resit Fee. As well as rent freezes and more throughout the years.
Students’ Unions always have and will continue to organise to win for their students.
