@lporiginalg Isn't part of the problem also that in the 80s the US education system somehow decided that teaching literacy as if words are hieroglyphs ("whole-word-reading") instead of phonetics isn't a terrible idea?
No surprise the already struggling would struggle even more.

Ich denke, da müsste jeder etwas konsequenter sein und halt mit seinem Geld abstimmen. Also eben NICHT kaufen, wenn man diese Auswahl nicht will.

@reaIVenator @Tom_Rowsell And I've yet to meet one who "constantly lies". Autists are usually very uncomfortable lying and also quite bad at it. Most you get is evasion by the agreeable ones because they don't want to pick a useless fight. Which isn't the same as straight up lying imo.

@reaIVenator @Tom_Rowsell I'm interested if there is indeed a statistic correlation between autism and neuroticism. I know autists that are quite neurotic, but also some that aren't and choose to mask sometimes because they are intelligent enough to know what battles to choose.

One cannot worship the gods and the enemies of the gods simultaniously, this is a recipe for disaster.

Wenn Standards gesenkt werden, damit sich niemand von seinen eigenen Limits benachteiligt fühlt, hast du am Ende genau dieses Bild.

Instead you always run the risk of its followers actually taking the universal ideology as stated and interpret it as universal. Which is what has happened with a lot of christians and good luck trying to change that

@kernspalte10593 @MBattiger Weil "Euroamerikaner" der Standard war, die Bezeichnung dafür war einfach "Amerikaner". Ob man das jetzt gut findet oder nicht, oder das heute anders sein sollte, ist ein anderes Thema. De facto wurde die USA von Europäern gegründet, die sich selber danach Amerikaner nannten.

@kernspalte10593 @MBattiger Naja, die Araber waren halt etwas pragmatischer und dachten sich, wir stellen mal sicher dass sich unsere Sklaven nicht fortpflanzen. Die Engländer bzw Amerikaner waren da nicht ganz so skrupellos.

@MBattiger Worüber auch selten in Geschichte unterrichtet wird, ist wie Grossbritannien mit viel (materiellem und personellem) Aufwand fast eigenhändig den Sklavenhandel im Westen beendet hat. Passt halt auch nicht ins Narrativ.
