It has been 3 weeks since the legendary ocean protector and founder of the CPWF, Captain Paul Watson, was arrested in Nuuk, Greenland. He is currently being wrongfully detained for his actions against illegal whaling.

Over a 50+ year career, Paul has advocated for and used non-violent direct action tactics to save thousands of whales from illegal whaling. Through his work, he has instilled the importance of protecting our oceans to generations of young people. As Paul says: “If the oceans die, we die.”

Now, he faces the possibility of extradition to Japan, a life sentence in prison, and the possibility of never seeing his family again.
