It's official: I will be the 2024-25 NYPL Long-Term Fellow! I will research a companion piece to my memoir. This book will examine the profound impact of The Opium Wars/opium on NYC's Chinese diaspora and 1970s “heroin chic” punk counterculture, aka my NYC teenage years.
