TBH, I think MKBHD is fair in saying people buying iPhone's dont care about refresh rates. They care about it being an iPhone, and iPhone should work without any complications - that's about it.

My brief thoughts on MKBHD’s 60 hz video:

I agree with his video, I don’t think he was nearly as fair with his Pixel 6a coverage.

For the iPhone he says that it should have high refresh rate BUT that it doesn’t matter to the target audience.

You cannot tell me that the people spending $800+ on an iPhone don’t care about high refresh rate, yet people buying a <$400 Pixel do care about refresh rate.

That being said, I understand the 6a video was over a year ago and opinions can change, I just hope he is more fair to both sides future.

NEW: Students seen jumping out of windows at the University of North Carolina after a gunman started shooting on campus.

A person of interest in the shooting has been identified as Tailei Qi, a PHD student.

Before coming to the United States, Qi ironically studied at Wuhan University where he graduated.

Yes, but I'll take youth participation in politics and policy every single time. So what if it swings one way or the other, do we then start banning old people to vote for swinging one way too? The harm that old people have on the nation (and the world) is way more irreparable.

Correct. The NGOs that promoted U18 and automatic registration are all remaining silent. The new laws were hailed as a huge victory by them. Yes, it was a significant triumph for PAS and #politicalIslam. The harm is irreparable.

Seperti yang dijanjikan, saya telah membentangkan kertas Dasar Gaji Progresif kepada Majlis Tindakan Ekonomi Negara (MTEN) untuk kelulusan pagi ini.

Alhamdulillah, MTEN telah meluluskan cadangan ini dan akan disusuli dengan kertas putih yang akan dibentangkan dalam sidang khas di Parlimen pada bulan September 2023.

Dasar Gaji Progresif akan menjadi dasar pasaran buruh yang mampu menaikkan gaji pekerja secara sistematik.

Dasar ini adalah bersifat sukarela (voluntary), berteraskan insentif (incentive-based), dan terkait dengan produktiviti (productivity-linked).

Sesi libat urus dan tinjauan awal telah menunjukkan sebanyak 62% pekerja dan 80% syarikat menyambut baik cadangan Dasar Gaji Progresif.

Tujuan Dasar Gaji Progresif adalah jelas. Pada Jumaat lepas, Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia telah melaporkan data gaji pekerja yang sangat membimbangkan. Lebih 2 juta pekerja bergaji kurang daripada RM2,000. Gaji penengah di 9 negeri tidak melebihi RM2,000.

Isu gaji ini telah berlarutan selama berdekad-dekad. Satu perubahan yang drastik sangat diperlukan.

Insya-Allah, dengan Dasar Gaji Progresif, kita boleh mengambil langkah pertama untuk mereformasikan struktur gaji rakyat yang akan menaiktaraf kehidupan rakyat Malaysia.
