@jon_vs_moloch @pinganul One correction is you don't need to have read anything to know the sun lights up the moon. Even a video of the moon landing should be enough to see the moon doesn't produce light. Knowing that essentially all energy in the solar system comes from the sun is rather fundamental imo

@pinganul @jon_vs_moloch I’ll admit I don’t know construction. The “stretch a string” idea would at least let you “check” if something is flat.

But stuff like “the earth is round” or “the earth revolves around sun” or “moonlight is sun” feels like basic human knowledge even if unknown 10k years ago.

@jon_vs_moloch @nosilverv Idk man. If you want a straight line, you could use string and stretch it. Then if you intersect two straight, you've defined a surface. Then you could make it perpendicular to gravitational force by balancing something I guess.
