Honoring Our Four-Legged Heroes 🐾🇺🇸
They don’t ask for recognition. They don’t ask for praise. They simply show up—faithful, fearless, and ready to serve.
Service dogs provide comfort, confidence, independence, and a reason to keep moving forward on the hardest days.
When others run away from danger, our first responders run toward it. 🇺🇸
Firefighters. Police officers. EMTs. They answer the call, face the unknown, and put themselves between danger and the people who need help.
Always Move Forward.

🐾 Major Axel update! 🐾
This all started May 7, when what looked like a serious leg injury turned into a pathological fracture and a possible cancer diagnosis.
The next day, Axel was at CSU undergoing a full right hind limb amputation along with removal of part of his pelvis.
Everything happened fast.
@Joeoltmann stepped up immediately, launched a fundraiser, and personally put $4,500 toward Axel’s CSU account so there would be no delay getting him into surgery.
@ConnorsK9 followed with another major donation directly to CSU.
People also sent $5,871.62 directly for Axel through Venmo, including a $2,000 donation from @AMFGotYour6 That support helped me change his diet, get supplements, prepare him for chemo, support his recovery, and cover follow up care with his primary vet.
@ShadowWarriorsP also stepped up in a huge way, reimbursing $5,700 in expenses and helping with Axel’s mobility cart.
Axel completed 4 rounds of chemotherapy.
And now, after his final treatment and testing, there is NO DETECTABLE CANCER.
We go back in about 2 months for another checkup.
Axel’s documented veterinary bills alone are over $15,000, not counting diet changes, supplements, travel, primary vet visits, and other care.
Even after all the help, I still personally paid $6,343.08 out of pocket.
This is exactly why I started @AlwayMoveF
With an animal emergency, you often need the money BEFORE the surgery not after!
Not afterward.
If I did not have the platform and people willing to move that fast, there is a very real chance I could have lost Axel simply because the money was not there in time.
There are veterans, first responders, and families facing that same situation every day with service dogs and companions they love.
The help has to be there when the crisis is happening.
Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, prayed, checked in, and helped get Axel here.
No detectable cancer.
That is huge win for Axel!

PAWS FORWARD NEEDS YOU. 🐾🇺🇸
We’re building the first Paws Forward Ruck & Fun Walk, and right now we need the community to help us get this thing moving.
We need participants. We need volunteers. We need sponsors.
Paws Forward isn’t just another walk.
Axel’s fight and recovery showed exactly why Always Move Forward needs to exist. When a veteran or first responder depends on a service dog, that dog isn’t simply a pet. That team represents independence, stability, safety, and quality of life. When a serious medical crisis hits, the cost can become overwhelming fast.
That is one of the reasons we created Always Move Forward.
On September 12, we’re bringing veterans, first responders, families, supporters, kids, and K9s together for the Paws Forward Ruck & Fun Walk.
You don’t have to be a veteran.
You don’t have to be a first responder.
You don’t have to carry a ruck.
And you definitely don’t have to be an athlete.
Just come walk with us.
Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your dog. Walk the full course or choose a shorter distance. This is supposed to be a fun community event with a serious purpose behind it.
And if you own a business or know one that believes in supporting veterans, first responders, their families, and service dog teams, we need sponsors to help us build this event.
If you can’t sponsor, volunteer.
If you can’t volunteer, register and walk.
If you can’t make it, share this post.
Every one of those things helps.
🐾 Check in begins at 8:00 AM

Let’s build something that makes sure the next veteran, first responder, or service dog team facing a crisis knows they don’t have to face it alone.
Always Move Forward.

In a poignant display of solidarity, individuals from around the world participated in the #Tig13 Warrior Workout as part of Beyond the Battlefield, paying tribute to the lives lost on September 11-12, 2012, in Benghazi. With AMF, we look forward to having more evens like this.
