My friends father, who was absolutely well, developed liver failure with jaundice, ascites and coagulopathy due to consumption of giloy (गूर्जो) for months due to fear of corona.

He is now scheduled for liver transplant.
My friend is the donor. 🙏🙏

@mshgastromed What was really consumed needs to be seen. There are other plants like #Tinosporacrispa which look similar to #Tinosporacordifolia (#Gurjo). T crispa can have adverse effects when consumed for long time.
Also, consulting doctors before consumption is most.
