Taught my first lesson outside!!! First brought nature into the classroom and then went outdoors the next. I am@excited for the journey ahead improving on my pedagogy :)
Tomorrow I start my placement at Port Chalmers Primary School in a first grade classroom (New Zealand!) I am both nervous and excited, and will definitely be reaching out on here for assistance. Stay tuned :)
I’ve accepted a challenge from @franceskakaras to post covers of 7 books I love: no explanations ~ just the cover. Each time I post a cover, I'll ask someone else to take up the challenge ~1 cover a day for a week. My day 1 nomination goes to @HGreenfader #ElonEd
It’s a great feeling to have presents for the kids wrapped and under the tree. It’s even better knowing the wrapping paper cost $0 to produce & is made from material that would have been recycled or thrown away. Thank you to @SustainableElon for this green gift wrapping option!
My favorite knots (as pictured) are the square knot, bowline, figure-8, and sheet bend. They can be used for tying a shoe, rescue work, or tying two knots together! #elonEd#enviroed#edu431
One of my favorite trees on campus, those that beautifully fill Danieley neighborhood, is the Crape-Mrytle!! The beautiful bark is smooth yet textured. Check it out sometime! #elonEd#edu431#enviroed
Final product of the @eaepanthers garden! We built shelves, organized/cleaned the shed, painted and put on brackets on the beds. I am so grateful for this opportunity to contribute to something so amazing!
It has been an amazing semester with @eaepanthers garden club. I will miss it greatly but know it was an experience I will take with me for the rest of my life :)
Today felt like a cross over episode between your two favorite childhood TV shows (yes that good)! My math 208 class got to join the first classroom for some math outside in the space I cherish in my #edu431 classroom. I loved seeing new people appreciate the place I do so dearly
