I understand that personal budgets and the governments budget may look vastly different but they have to function under the same principles. We can't keep carrying the debt. No one should be in debt, it's not healthy.

@marla_vous @SpeakerMcCarthy All of it is paid with taxes. Why is the answer to pull in more taxation revenue and not to cut funding to things that taxation should NEVER pay for? If you can't afford to pay your bills, you either cut spending or make more money. The funding source isn't mutually exclusive.

@marla_vous @SpeakerMcCarthy I'm not sure how you pay your past spending/debts, but pretty sure it requires looking at your future spending habits and adjusting to ensure you can afford to pay for the debt. Otherwise you're just going to continue to carry the debt. It doesn't just magically go away.
