I invited these incredible heroes to Spain and Poland because I believe the real awards belong to them. The Islamic Republic took their eyes for the crime of demanding freedom. They still do not lower their voices, unlike many Europeans they don’t bow to their oppressors.

Europe is legitimizing the Taliban and shaking hands with the mullahs. Before you sign the next deal, sit with these women. Look into their eyes. Answer one question: Why?

Their stories are not only about Iran. They are a warning.
These women fight so their country can be free, and so your democracies stay safe from the same Islamist terrorists knocking at your door.

Europe talks about values. But then it normalizes relations with the Taliban and Islamic Republic of Iran, the same regimes who kick out girls from schools, ban women from working, from being seen, from existing in public life.

The mullahs hang women and men for speaking up. They hang young people for one post on social media.

Christians should be the best citizens of this world! After all, we are heaven's citizens <3 Keep your eyes on Him and get a real world battle buddy or two if you can. There is a lot of noise out there... most of it is just meant to distract or discourage you. Unfortunately, many in the Church are hearing and believing the same lies as the world (and we Christians were called "mean" and "homophobic" and "hypocrites" and everything else for so long that some have made it their life goal to prove those things wrong... by embracing stances that are really not loving at their roots). Stay in the word.

Oh come on. We all lived through the Biden admin. We are all old enough to remember what you did to "antivaxxers", MAGA, and President Trump. THAT was weaponization of the law. Just like a person can't slap a "journalist" sticker on their shirt and go out and kill a person and plead "I'm a journalist, you can't touch me!" neither can corrupt politicians say "oh, i am a politician, you can't touch me for breaking the laws because that would be targeting a politician which is politically motived simply because i am a politician"- NO SIR! You sit under the SAME LAW as the rest of us. You are not a super-citizen. You are just a citizen. politicians used to understand this. they need to understand that again.

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.

To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.

Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.

Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.

Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.

In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.

The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

some people will close their eyes and ears- and it is a choice. they will tell themselves the lies they want to believe. it is easier to swallow lies.... or is it? like a poison dipped in chocolate. to be a MORAL BYSTANDER is NOT HEROIC. And yes- as someone with close connections with real life Iranians myself- they ARE asking for bombs. Over the summer- the Iranian people were still walking among dead bodies in the street that were killed for protesting and left as a demonstration. Thousand of unarmed people- gunned down in the streets. And here are these smug people who are to 'morally upright' to believe that a war is ever necessary or just. so, what do they think? Iranians- and all free people, should just lay down and die in the streets? that governments should sit this one out? I disagree. It is easy to have the 'moral highground' that allows for absolutes like "bombs are always bad- war is always bad- guns are always bad" until you are the one being slaughtered. until your loved one has one choice: this religion or death.

I really like high quality materials as well! This summer- I really just wanted a pair of leather sandals with a leather insole (that should be simple?) but I could not find a pair! Definitely nowhere on amazon. I actually think that if we went made in the USA only a lot of other issues would go away- but I agree that having only high quality materials would be so nice; if it wouldn't narrow the market too much. But, if we could search up "100% cotton" or "leather insoles"- and actually get that, that would be an improvement.

When you keep seeing junk, sometimes you need to take time to listen to more than a short interview to form a better opinion for yourself. Mine? He's hands-down a hero. I love ICE
