@TanyaDennis@JanyreTromp@FrancineRivers I'm so rarely on TwiX these days, I literally JUST saw this today, so very belatedly--thank you for the shout & I love this so much!! ☺️
@rachkmc I nearly didn’t read it because of the title and cover design combo. It’s such a smart, vulnerable memoir and I almost skipped it. Still unsure if I’m the problem or if that title is the problem. 😅
What if we used our own hidden things to shape our views of each other- that we carry invisible burdens and so too might our neighbor- rather than shame them and ourselves? What if we believed Jesus when He promised to take those and we helped each other take them to Him?
O God, You are my God
And I will ever praise You
I will seek You in the morning
And I will learn to walk in Your ways
And step-by-step You'll lead me
And I will follow You all of my days" Rich Mullins 2/2
@rachkmc And when I read Steinbeck I am very aware I’ll never be able to do that; but yes, it ignites me. Because I’m here to share my own kids with the world the best I can!
@rachkmc Yeah. There’s nothing on earth that would make me want to quit writing, least of all the gifts of someone else which before God are none of my business. I’m here to invest my talents, not covet Steinbeck’s. ;)
