Some personal news, as the kids say: If you didn't already hear, I will be starting my MFA studies @NatUniv next month! I'm honored to have been admitted, and look forward to learning everything I can about storytelling and teaching.
I've been wondering the same. I'm fortunate enough to have a remote job, but if this was happening a year ago, the chances of my health being at risk would have been HIGH.

Fitness Folx: I'm considering trying out a cycling class, but a) social anxiety (I've been laughed at in workout classes before and am really not in the mood to carry that into 2020) and b) I don't know what my stamina for that kind of workout is like. Any advice? Thoughts?
@sarah_madaus I picked a local, independently-owned studio for that reason - hoping for an inclusive environment! I booked a class tonight so if I fall in love, I may have to take a class from you next time I find myself in the area :)
Although I tweet about writing and other non-journalism/professional-related things here, I have another Twitter designated for all that talk, so if you'd like to follow @AlienWrites, feel free!
For me, 2019 consisted of one step forward and about 100 steps back. But I accomplished some things nonetheless, so I'm not calling it a wash. Still excited for the new decade, though.
