To the Government and People of Venezuela.
On behalf of the Government and the People of Uganda, I wish to convey heartfelt condolences to the Government and People of Venezuela, upon suffering a natural catastrophe i.e. the big magnitude earthquakes (Musisi - in our local Luganda dialect), that hit parts of your Country; and caused colossal loss of life, multiple casualties and damage to property and infrastructure. At this trying moment, the People of Uganda commiserate and stand in solidarity, with their Venezuelan Brothers and Sisters; and wish quick recuperation to those who sustained physical injuries. We pray that the ongoing search and rescue efforts succeed in preventing the already high death toll from escalating.
The grief and loss that have been occasioned by these earthquakes is unimaginable; and therefore, as you come to terms with its devastating effects and mourn the loss of your loved ones, our hearts and prayers are with you.
May the Almighty God grant eternal rest to the departed souls.
H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

Tomorrow, Uganda's Police marks another milestone as President Yoweri Museveni presides over the pass-out ceremony for Probationer Police Constables at Police Training School (PTS) Kabalye, Masindi. Wishing all recruits success as they begin serving the nation with professionalism and integrity. #WhyUgDecidedM7
@KagutaMuseveni Congratulations on advancing Uganda's vision of agro-industrialization. More processing means more jobs, more exports, and greater prosperity.
Today, I met Egyptian investors at State House, Entebbe, who shared proposals to partner with Uganda in the dairy sector, including establishing a modern milk processing facility in Ngoma.
I told them that Uganda now produces about 5.4 billion litres of milk annually, with a surplus available for processing and export. Our focus is on value addition, quality improvement and expanding export markets. I welcome them and wish them good luck.
President @KagutaMuseveni is set to establish 17 additional @IndustrialHubs before the end of the current financial year, expanding access to free vocational training and tackling youth unemployment.
The announcement comes as Intake Six officially begins, with 4,560 students enrolled across the existing 19 hubs. The centres offer free training, accommodation, meals and training materials in trades such as carpentry, welding, tailoring, building and construction, mechanics, shoe making and hairdressing.
Graduates receive certificates from the @UVTABOfficial equivalent to the Uganda Certificate of Education, and are supported through a Shs50 million revolving fund injected into graduate SACCOs at district level to help them start businesses.
Beyond technical skills, the hubs also emphasise discipline, patriotism, mindset change and military drills aimed at shaping responsible and productive citizens. Students from across the country have hailed the initiative as a life-changing opportunity that offers hope, practical skills and a pathway to self-reliance.
The Presidential Zonal Industrial Skilling Hubs programme has emerged as one of the government's flagship interventions for combating youth unemployment and promoting wealth creation through skills development.
State House has commenced the induction of 36 newly recruited Farm Managers and Finance Officers who will oversee agricultural enterprises at the Presidential Industrial Skilling Hubs and supervise over 170 SACCOs established to support programme graduates.
The officers are undergoing a week-long training at the Oliver Reginald Tambo Leadership School in Kaweweta in leadership, patriotism, political economy and mindset transformation ahead of their deployment.
The 19 Presidential Industrial Skilling Hubs are being transformed into centres of production and wealth creation through value addition projects, including a paper processing plant in Mbarara and a grain milling facility in Masindi.
The newly recruited officers will also oversee the Shs50 million revolving funds injected by President @KagutaMuseveni into graduates' SACCOs and support efforts to strengthen accountability, sustainability and job creation under the Presidential @IndustrialHubs programme.
The honor was truly mine, comrade & PO 037 @KatwirePolly
Thank you for the warm hospitality in Mbarara and for your exceptional mobilization work for PLU. Your tireless dedication as a Spokesperson for the Ankole Sub-region & senior mobilizer is deeply appreciated!
DNA test results released this afternoon at Naguru Police Headquarters have confirmed that only four out of 25 individuals who claimed to be children of the late Kadongo Kamu icon Paul Job Kafeero are his biological offspring.

Today, the 24th of June is Maamaβs birthday having arrived on Earth on this very day 78 years ago. The family and myself thank God for having given us Maama, kept her safe in the years of orphanhood having lost her Father, Mzee Edward Kataaha, in 1955 and prospering her in the subsequent years up to today.
Β
In Particular, I thank God for the miraculous re-connection with her on Christmas day, 1972, outside the Inter-Continental Hotel in Nairobi. Although we were from the same area of Ntungamo and had studied at Kyamate together in 1958, we had got disconnected by the troubled history of Uganda.

Since January, 1971, we had been operating from Tanzania fighting Idi Amin. I had, indeed, been involved in the disastrous battle of the 17th of September, 1972 in Mbarara where out of 330 People that attacked on that axis, on account of not being trained, by evening I had managed to take back only 46 including an Obote fighter known as Ageta, a good but chaotic fighter.
