@OleBeeM@CMF_PacificNW @WarriorZoltar @BlackKnight10k My grandparents slept in separate rooms for almost their entire marriage because he snored and she couldn’t sleep. I’m here, so they obviously still managed to have sex.
@varsha_venkat_ My dad did a whole mock ballet thing with me and my brother to teach us about the hanging chad debacle, and then he was like “IF CHILDREN CAN FIGURE IT OUT…!"
@clhubes We just ate what our parents ate, but it was all pretty basic stuff like pasta, meatloaf, chicken with potatoes. The most adventurous we got was going to China Buffet for a special occasion. We weren’t well off, and it never occurred to me that I wouldn’t eat the dinner served.
@shesbonky My mother had two complicated labors ending in c-section before I was born, and one of the babies did not survive. I am very grateful that I was delivered via c-section as soon as she went into labor, protecting my life and sparing her another potentially traumatic experience.

@rlesterK@CartoonsHateHer And maybe he’s being extra supportive because he can see how hard she is working to lose weight on top of everything she was already doing as a mother! Seeing my partner work hard and accomplish his goals is attractive!
@emilykmay 🙋♀️ it was actually nice to have the money temporarily because we added it to our house down payment, and then I started a new job that let us rebuild that savings… but whew, it was a majorly annoying situation.
@aliciaandrz@AcademicChatter I'm fortunate to have a dedicated home office for work, and they helps me be "on"... but I am currently typing this while lying on our guest bed, so ymmv
